“I need you, Lizzie—
your laughter, your encouragement, your gentleness,
your love—and not just in my bed. I need you in my heart and my mind,
to feel your love like before, when it was just you and me.”

DECK THE HALLS!!
LIZZIE & BRADY’S CHRISTMAS STORY
IS FINALLY HERE …
And to celebrate, I am going to do something that I never, EVER do …
I’m turning on the comments section of this week’s Journal Jots so those who read my blog on a regular basis (a small but powerful select group) can enter a special contest all your own where entries are low so chances are high.
Journal Jots Private Contest
Here’s the deal. Let me know in the comments section below if you have ordered either the Home for Christmas Historical Romance Collection at $2.99 that contains Lizzie & Brady’s novella OR the A Heart for Christmas Contemporary Romance Collection (also $2.99), and I will give you an entry point in this private contest for each of the collections you purchase, INCLUDING any collections you buy for anyone else. Then those who post a review on Amazon for either or both of the collections will get 5 additional entries per review, INCLUDING any reviews you get anyone else to post.
NOTE: The review can be as short as two or three lines for one of the novellas in the collection or several, but a review that includes all the novellas in the book is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to give your honest opinion as all reviews posted will be eligible for contest entry.
Comment Rules:
1.) Please clearly state which collection(s) you purchased and if you reviewed them.
2.) Please include your email (where it says “author email” in the comment box) so I can contact you if you win.
3.) This contest will end early on Oct. 31st.
What Do You Win?
Not only will you win A CHARACTER NAMED AFTER YOU IN MY NEXT BOOK AND A SIGNED COPY, but you will also win your choice of any of my books PLUS a book from EACH of the other award-winning authors in the collection you purchase.
That’s UP TO 11 BOOKS and A CHARACTER NAMED AFTER YOU IN MY NEXT BOOK!!!!
And trust me — you will THANK me for introducing you to the rest of these award-winning authors if you don’t read them already:
Janet Dean, Debby Giusti, Pam Hillman, Ruth Logan Herne, Sandra Wardman Smith, Tina Russo Radcliffe, & Missy Tippens
So let the contest begin — comments are open!

Hi Julie! Just a quick question: How long do we have to enter this contest? (Just trying to plan ahead how much time I have to read the novella and then write a review) Thanks 🙂
-Marissa

Hi Miss Julie!
This sounds kinda loony, but I checked a couple weeks ago, because I was certain I had preordered Home for Christmas and Amazon said "nope! Wanna buy it?!" But I got distracted and didn't (plus, I still believed I had already purchased it). Then, next thing I know, my Kindle app is notifying that a new book had downloaded. Lo, and behold, it was Home for Christmas! I was so excited! Still am, but I had to read Isle of Hope, first. I actually finished it about 10 minutes ago, (LOVED it, in case you were wondering) and am now debating whether I want to read Lizzie and Brady's story next, or reread Surprised by Love. Decisions, decisions . . . .
On, and thanks for the giveaway!
~Sarah
SARAH … SO glad you enjoyed IOH!! And, LOL … glad you preordered HFC so you got it at almost half price — smart girl!
I hope you enjoy both it and SBL … but did you say "re-reading" SBL??? LOL … then I sure hope you got Blake's novella when it was on sale this week for 99 cents, With This Kiss, because that will make the McClares last even longer!! 😉
Thanks SO much, Sarah, for your incredible support!
Hugs and happy reading!
Julie
Yep! I've already read all of your books and after reading IOH I really wanted to read another one, so that left rereading. Though SBL just randomly came to mind. I've already read Love at Any Cost and DTLA twice, so might as well keep going! I never want your books to end, so any extending I can do (short of reading slower) is fair game. I do have Blake's book and loved it, too! Maybe I'll reread it after SBL.
OH MY GOSH, SARAH, SERIOUSLY??? AND YOU ARE SARAH BAKER, RIGHT
DID YOU HAPPEN TO SEE YOU NAME IN ISLE OF HOPE? BECAUSE IT' THERE, SWEETIE — OVER AND OVER AGAIN! 🙂 YOU ARE ONE OF THE BRIDESMAIDS, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER IF THE PDF I SENT YOU HAD THE WINNERS' NAMES INSERTED YET AS CHARACTERS.
YOU SURE DESERVE IT, MY FRIEND — THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!
HUGS,
JULIE
I am, yes. And I did see that! It startled me at first glance, but then I was SO excited!! One of those "oh, my goodness! One of my all-time favorite authors used my name in a book!!" moments. Thank you so much for including me! That totally made my day, after a rather stressful one at work! Though, I do confess that I'm slightly envious that she got to hug Jack. LOL
Hi Julie! I bought the Home for Christmas Collection, and I wrote a review (on both Amazon and Goodreads).
I just have to tell you, I absolutely loved it! I didn't want it to end, haha. Thank you for another wonderful story! 🙂
LOL … "slightly envious that she got to hug Jack" …
Trust me, I RELATE, especially after you see the celebrity lookalike of Jack on my January 16 Journal Jot at http://www.julielessman.com/journal-jots1/2015/1/17/friday-january-16-2015.html. 😉
Thanks SO much, SARAH, for your really sweet comment — it blesses me!
HUGS!!
