You know, I was all set to post a Christmas Scripture because after all, that’s the right thing to do four days before Christmas, right? But when I opened one of my devotionals this morning, Jesus Calling (which is great, by the way!), the line above literally jumped out at me, and when it did, my heart clutched and tears welled in my eyes.

Jesus’ Power and Glory — in the flesh, through the birth of a human infant born in a bed of straw — is the very thing that can and will eradicte all of my fears and yours. Oh, the joy of knowing that my imperfections — and God knows they are many — are obliterated by a God Who loves me — and you — just the way we are!! Talk about “joy to the world”!!

In our weakness He is strong.

So, like the disciple Paul, “I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” And, oh baby, if my weakness equates to God’s strength, than I’m bending bars of steel like pretzels … and bopping them over the devil’s head. 🙂

I wish you and yours a most happy, healthy, and holy holiday season where the joy of the Lord is your strength.

It’s here … the video for A Light in the Window is finally HERE!! And not just “here,” my friends, but “here” with a contest to kick off both my $ .99 CHRISTMAS SALE for the A Light in the Window E-book AND the release of the paperback version too!! 

I am reallllly excited to see what you guys think about the video, especially your preference as to the two male models who play Patrick O’Connor and Sam O’Rourke. Since I haven’t run a Journal Jots contest in a long time, I thought this would be the perfect occasion for it, don’t you?, To enter the contest, all you have to do is watch the video, then tell me which of these bad-boy rogues turns your head for the title of hottest rogue in the Southie neighborhood!

You know, I may well be one of the few people on the planet who likes snow. Of course, that’s because I don’t go anywhere in it! Nope, I just get to enjoy it from my hearthroom window while my gas fireplace is blazing, beautifully aglow with greenery, twinkle lights and red velvet stockings.

But when I got up this morning and took this picture of the fresh-fallen snow in my backyard, “beautiful” wasn’t the first word that come to mind. It was more like, “YIKES … Christmas Eve is only TEN DAYS AWAY!!”  Well, if you’re anything like me, you may have your decorations up, but presents are not completely purchased and wrapped, nor are the marble-fudge cheesecakes baked for my Christmas party tonight.

You see, my son and daughter-in-law and two grandbabies are in town this week, and my focus has been on them rather than writing, editing, email or Facebook. So I thought it’d be fun to show you a few pix and then get back to them, if that’s okay.
