IT’S MY PLEASURE TO INTRODUCE KRISTEN HEITZMANN:
As part of this Scavenger Hunt, I have the honor of hosting one of the very first authors I ever read in the CBA and one of my all-time faves! Kristen Heitzmann is the best-selling author of historical and contemporary romantic suspense novels, including Colorado Book Award finalist THE STILL OF NIGHT and Christy Award winner SECRETS. She has a love affair with the Colorado Rocky Mountains where she lives with her husband, extended family, pets, and wildlife. Pick up a copy of Kristen’s book at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Christianbookcom or your local bookstore. Connect with Kristen at http://www.kristenheitzmannbooks.com/ or follow her on Twitter at KFHeitzmann.
Here’s a quick summary of Kristen’s new release, The Breath of Dawn, releasing from Bethany House Publishers, November 1st:
A grieving widower, and a courageous woman oppose a conman who plays a prophet—but he’s no saint. Quinn crossed him before, and now he’s out of jail. When the threat turns deadly, corporate mogul Morgan Spencer and Quinn Reilly, a woman he hadn’t planned on, choose an unorthodox solution with pitfalls of its own.
THE SCAVENGER HUNT BASICS:
After you have enjoyed Kristen’s interview below, your next stop is Kristen Heitzmann’s very own blog, so keep moving to STOP #7: Kristen Heitzmann to get to know her better and pick up your next clue!
But before you go, write down this STOP #6 clue: BETTER
And now, a Scavenger Hunt Exclusive from Kristen—an interview with a character who won’t go away!
Some years ago, Morgan Spencer (one of my faves of Kristen’s heroes—hubba, hubba!) appeared in Kristen Heitzmann’s novel A Rush of Wings and earned himself the lead role in The Still of Night. Given that happy ending, readers want to know, Morgan, why you’re back again?
Morgan: I have a special spot in the author’s mind. It takes little to reinvigorate her interest. In this case, she listened to an old play list, songs I favored in The Still of Night. Just like that, there I was.
Did you anticipate the opening scene she created for you, the loss of your wife?
Morgan: Not in my wildest dreams. It was…heart-rending.
Some have suggested Heitzmann heaps tragedy on you. Any idea why?
Morgan: In her words, I suffer so superbly.
Surely that’s not all that keeps her coming back.
Morgan: No one’s accused me of false modesty, but I’d sound pretty smug saying the rest.
Come on, we want to know.
Morgan: Okay. I have qualities that attract people. I’ve been called the “success guru” because I take problems and turn them around. I find solutions no one else can see. It’s made me highly prosperous in business, but I can’t help applying it to life as well. If I see someone in trouble, I step in. Take Quinn for instance—that’s Quinn Reilly my co-lead in The Breath of Dawn. She asked for a sort of help I couldn’t give.
What sort?
Morgan: Uh, the illegal sort. Not that she realized exactly. She was scared and desperate to disappear. I came up with an alternative.
And she was happy?
Morgan: She asked if I had an antisocial genius disorder.
(Laughing) Okay then. What can we expect to see from you in this book?
Morgan: Well, because of the prologue, I’m not in very good shape to start with. Life’s pretty much as bad as it can get, except for my precious daughter Livie. Quinn starts to change that, but her problems create a crucible that puts us both to the test.
What crucible?
Morgan: There’s a really nasty guy out for payback.
So this is a suspense story?
Morgan: It’s suspenseful.
But?
Morgan: It’s also a love story. And a tale of family and purpose and meaning. It explores the nature of God’s love and our response to it. And the way we live out that love with one another.
Is it safe to say you’re happier about the end than the beginning?
Morgan: Can you see my smile?

WELCOME TO SCAVENGER HUNT STOP #6!!!
The hunt doesn't start till Thursday, October 25 at NOON, so come back and leave a comment then, okay?
Hope to see you here!
Hugs,
Julie
Sean OβConnor is my favorite hero. I just love how he wants to protect Emma and care for and how he adores his family.
I was only able to like 3 of them. Can't find the like button on the book sites. O.o But I love the 3 I was able to like. The rest I bookmarked. π Thanks for the fun!
The character interview is fantastic, I love it!
Sean is so far my favorite. The hero in my dreams found on paper
I have only read APMP and while Collin was a dashing hero he really rubbed me wrong until the end when he finally changed his life around. But I did like him at the end! Usually I am more drawn to the cowboy heroes or the gentleman types!
Can't wait to read your books!
Liked all FB pages, was unable to find the Like button on Amazon for some weird reason. I haven't read any of Julie's books yet…but I intend to now. They look very good. Hopefully I will find my hero in one of her books.
Sean is great, but I read his book most recently=) Patrick should get a vote too for putting up with all the women in his life!
I'm actually new to reading this genre, and am using this scavenger hunt to find new authors. Will definitely be adding your books to my growing to-read pile π
In the meantime, I'm having a horrible time narrowing it down to one favorite lit hero. Currently, I'm going to go with Edward Tulane from Kate DiCamillo's The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, because of the remarkable lesson he learned about love.
It would have to be Emma Malloy! But followed closely by Charity and her tenacity. I like Emma because she is sweet, strong and a great conversationalist. I enjoyed her conversations with Sean immensely. She had been through so much, but overcame and worked very hard to be a good person to others despite the bad things that happened to her.
I dont have a special fav hero of Julie books because I love the one I am reading then move on-does that sound fickle??? Loving moving on the "Hunt" and seeing so many great authors, I like Kristin books too -cant have too many books to read.
I am a FB fan also

I really like Luke. I love his and Katie's relationship (the quips and barbs kind are always my favorite).
I was only able to "like" 6 of those choices, but I do actually like them all π Can't wait to read your books, Julie, thanks for the giveaway!
Blessings π
I haven't read your books, because I didn't know about them. But having heard of them now, they sound so interesting! Hm. Favorite literary hero. I like Michael Hosea from Francine Rivers' Redeeming Love.
I liked all of your links!
Oops! Forgot my list!
I liked author pages on Facebook.
I liked A Love Surrendered on B&N.
I liked all four books on Amazon (it looks like you can only like kindle versions of books, I can't pretend to understand Amazon).
I have not read any of Julie's books, but I would like to. My favorite author is Irene Hannon and my favorite character is Evan Cooper from "Against All Odds".
My favorite hero from your books is actually a heroine! I love Faith O'Connor and her strong values. Despite all of her trials she still relied on the Lord, and I love her for that! π
I have liked all of the items striked out.

A LIGHT IN THE WINDOW ON AMAZONHello! I haven't read any of your books, I'm still catching up on books that my family got me LAST christmas. π Its a sad yet wonderful story. Anyways, my fav hero in a book is Frank Zhang from Rick Riordan's Heroes of Olympus series. He is so quiet and sweet, and I just love his loving yet a little overly-protective personality.
P.S.
I liked four of those links above this….

I've never read your books before but after reading the deleted scene at the last stop I immediately went to my library site and ordered every book of yours that they have, does that count? π I'd never heard your name before, but I think I'm going to be very glad I did today!
Favorite literary hero other than yours huh? hmm, Marcus O'Malley from the O'Malley series by Dee Henderson
oh my email is imacowgirl @ ymail . com

I think I like Faith the best. She is so genuine and strong. I was inspired by her.
I also "liked" the facebook pages(o:
ASHLEY!!! Then you will probably LOVE Annie for A Love Surrendered too, my friend, because Faith is her mentor … π GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
BRIANNA … I soooo relate, girl, which leads to me wonder why on earth you would want to win 31 more books!!! π I'll answer that for you — because they are AWESOME books!!
HOLY COW, RUTH U (IMACOWGIRL)!!! I can hardly believe you did that, you sweet thing, but THANK YOU!! Hi Julie! I love the O'Connors. I think Faith, though, is my favorite. Definitely true to her name! I know when I see a Julie exerpt the room is going to steam up! Maybe I should copy/print some of them and hide them around the house for my hubby to find! ; ) Blessings! Stacey
OH…I just "liked" Kristen's facebook page : ).
Oh gosh… that's tough. I love all your heroes, but if I had to choose my favorite I guess I would go with Luke, with Mitch and Steven tied in a close second.

I think my favorite heroine was Faith too! Her faith is admirable not only in her novel but throughout the whole O'Connor family. Connor had to grow on me, as playing two sisters is not cool, but it made his development into a man of God that much sweeter!
Julie, I actually haven't read any of your books yet, but they do look right up my alley! I will be heading over to Kobo to get one or two! Thanks!
The ebook links worked and I've liked them all. Since I'm sure I will like them all!
Since I haven't read yours yet, I'll include my favourite hero so far. It's Canyon from 'Wolfsbane' by Ronie Kendig.
sarpenner(at)yahoo(dot)ca
mjanders921(at)yahoo(dot)com
I haven't read any of your books, but am excited to add you to my reading list.
Hmmm, my favorite heroine currently is Nancy Rue's Allison Chamberlain, only because that's the latest book I've read! I can't recall having read any of your books! I just can't afford to buy every book I'd like to read, which is why I love these contests so very much!
My email is bcrug(at)myfairpoint(dot)net and I have liked 2 items on your list.
I loved your deleted scene in the past post!!! It was awesome! Too bad it didn't get into the book. π I have not read any of your books yet, but I have them on my library list now! My favorite literary hero is always the man who has loved the woman for forever, but she doesn't know it!! It is probably going to be…Henry St. James!! He's in "Gentleman of Her Dreams" by Jen Turano.
And my email address is filledwithgrace96(at)gmail(dot)com
Hi Julie!!! My favorite hero out of all of your books is Patrick. Even though he had a bad-boy past he has been faithful to his wife and children since the beginning. And I just can't resist his saying "darlin" I love it!
My daughters and I are Kristen Heitzmann fans! Now I'm off to hop around to the other blogs in the Scavenger Hunt π

I love Marcy O'Connor… she is such a wonderful woman, mother, wife, help-mate. She is always there for her children in the good and bad times, she knows when and what to say and when not to say anything at all. She is also a wonderful wife to Patrick… I would say she's a good example of the Prov 31 woman. I wanna be like her when I grow up. π
THANKS, KATE … Faith is a definite favorite! Good luck, sweetie. π
STACEY … she and Charity are my faves too, although I love them all, what can I say??? They're family … π
EMILY … my kind of gal!! Luke and Mitch are my absolute FAVES!! Good luck, girl!
EMBASSIE … LOVE your name, my friend, I know I've said that before. π Good luck!!
SARAH … thanks, sweetie, and if you want to see my favorite love scene I've ever written, check out the romantic scene for A Hope Undaunted on my EXCERPTS tab of my website — it's my fave!! π

Patrick, Patrick, Patrick! Head of the O'Connor clan. I've loved all of the guys really, but there's something about Patrick's moody yet gentle ways, not to mention the passionate scenes between him and Marcy.
I like all the facebook pages. I have never read any of these books becouse I have never heard of some of these authors til now! I love reading Colleen Coble and I love the Rock Harbor books and Bree. valariemccoy at att dot net
Oh, and I have 4 likes!
I have not read any of your books yet, but I am so new to Christian fiction, can you believe I never knew it exsisted…and I have a vast collection of books, so much so I have ran out of room on my bookshelf years ago! I first picked up a book by MaryLou Tyndall (the Charles Towne Belles Trilogy) and I fell in love! This hunt is perfect for me because now I have SO MANY authors to pick from, I am happy to think I will never be in want of a good book to read! My favorite character in M.L. Tyndall's book 'The Raven Saint' is of course, Grace Westcott. I love her faith in God and how passionate she is for all to come to know the love of God and learning along the way that sometimes being so convicting isn't exactly the best thing. It reminds me to not always be so quick to judge. Oh and I also liked everything that you posted to be liked.
Oh… I did all 8 likes. π
Ive never read any of your books but if you made it into the scavenger hunt than your books must be worth reading! Off to the library I go! My favorite hero is Gabi From The River Of Time Series!
I have never read any of your books because my library did not carry them. It seems like I started with Lizz Curtis Higgs books, read all of hers, then moved onto Tamera Alexander, Kim Vogel Sawyer and now I have found you. I love the reviews I have seen on your books and know I will be buying your books from Amazon since my library doesn't carry them and none in the library loaning area do.
I liked three pages and I've never read any of these books because I've never heard of this author. One of my favorites is Peretti.
I think Luke is my favorite. He's smart and funny, and always does the right thing in the end.
kelly(dot)ropson(at)gmail(dot)com
I have not read any of your books. I just finished Love's Reckoning by Laura Frantz, so I'm going with Eden.
Liked you on facebook.

My daughter's name is Morgan.. so I'll have to adjust to THIS Character Morgan that is Kristen's.. =) But I think I'd manage!! Julie, I haven't read your books, though I follow you faithfully and I have collected all of your books..even your latest. I am waiting till I can savor them and truly enjoy them, from start to finish, book one, two and three .. and then again with series #2!
I am horrible inane at series books, as I have to have them all before I begin =)
Maybe your next character should be named Marie.. for her stubborness, or willfulness?
I like the three Facebook pages mentioned above.
Thanks for the great contest! marieburton2004 at yahoo dot com

I'm just beginning to read your books, Julie, after winning a copy of A Heart Revealed. Love your O'Connor boys and can't wait for Light in the Window to read how the patriarch came into existence!

I have not read any of your books, but would love to. I really liked the interview with the character. Also, I did all 8 of the list above.
Hello. Yes, please enter me into the Contest drawing. My name is Brenda. And I'm so sorry to announce I have not "yet" read any of Julie Lessman's novels … but hope to rectify that very soon. My "author – hero" is MaryLu Tyndall, being very familiar with her novels (owning them all) … but I am loving being introduced to more Christian authors ("broadening my horizons", so to speak).
Thank-you for this wonderful opportunity.
In Him, Brenda Hurley brennie7@hotmail.com
Great post! This Scavenger Hunt is fun!
I haven't read any of Julie's books because I don't read much romance. I usually go for fantasy novels. Some of my favorite literary heroes are Mr. Darcy (a given) and Frodo. π
JULIE!!! SOOOO fun to see you here, girl, and YAY for PATRICK!! π Those young boys always beat him out!! I love Kristen, too, so GOOD LUCK, girl!!
LOL, LADETTE — me too!! π If you love Marcy, you should LOVE A Light in the Window, girl, right?
PATRICIA … oh, girl, I oughta make you the winner right now (you and Julie above, who said the same thing), because Patrick is seldom mentioned 'cause those younger studmuffins always edge him out, but when you read A Light in the Window … look out, boys, there's a new rogue in town … π
HEY, VAL … like I told the gals above, be sure to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website for even more glimpses into my "passionate" style of writing, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scene for each of my books. If you only have time for one, scroll down to the romantic scene for A HOPE UNDAUNTED — it's my fave!! Thanks again, girl, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
Oh, REBECCA … MaryLu and I are like twins, so much so, we call each other "sis," so I just KNOW if you like her stuff (she is one of my ALL-TIME FAVES!!), you probably will like mine too, so be sure to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scene for each of my books. If you only have time for one, scroll down to the romantic scene for A HOPE UNDAUNTED — it's my fave!! Thanks again, girl, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
LOL, EMILY … that made me smile because it's true — this scavenger hunt has some of the finest authors in the Christian market, so I was blown away when I got invited!! Have you read Lisa's latest, Glamorous Illusions?? AWESOME!!!
SUSAN STAHLEY … BLESS YOU, darlin', for even mentioning my name in the same breath as Liz Curtis Higgs, Tamera and Kim — I am honored and would be THRILLED to have you check out the EXCERPT tab of my website for a glimpse into my "passionate" style of writing with posts of my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes from each of my books. If you only have time for one, scroll down to the romantic scene for A HOPE UNDAUNTED — it's my fave!! Thanks again, girl, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
JULIA … OH, I grew up on Perretti — LOVED him!!!
KELLY … I'm with you, girl, and Mitch is right up there too! GOOD LUCK!!
Hugs,
Julie
Forgot to tell you about liking everything.
I LIKED them ALL! FB and Amazon.
beckydwriter(at)gmail(dot)com
Cluny McGee would have to be one of my favorites! He is an awesome, awe-inspiring man; who would not love him?! His love for everyone, his heart, his devotion and loyalty, his passion/fire, etc. I could go on and on. He is an amazing example of a Godly man!
I've not had the pleasure of reading any of your stories. I only came across you during this scavenger hunt, but plan on checking you out. As for my favorite literary character, I guess I'd have to say Ashley Baxter, from the Baxter Family Series by Karen Kingsbury. At first, I was jealous of her, but after going through all of her health issues, I've come to admire her strength in the Lord. Anniezerozerofour(at)att(dot)net
I LOVE Christian Fiction but I have never read any of your books before. I am really looking forward to reading them in the future though. This hunt is a great way to find new authors !
As a hero- I really liked Mr, Baxter in the Karen Kingsbury books. How he raised all of his children and grandchildren. Such a Godly example – and hero to his family.
littlebird(at)hur(dot) midco (dot) net
I don't have a favorite yet, but I am getting ready to start reading A Passion Most Pure! I liked all 8 of likes!!! Thanks makeighleekyleigh at yahoo.com
New books to add to my "to-read" list! Thanks for participating!
I think I'm getting mixed up on with all the new authors and all their new books that I haven't red yet! And I'm only on #6. Oh well.
I haven't read any by Julie yet. But they're on my list now that I know about them!
I haven't had the pleasure of reading your books. However, one of my favorite all time books are Jan Karon's and I love Father Tim and all his cast! Just one of many actually! I review books quite a bit and find many many favorites!!!I liked 2 of the links as well!
I liked the facebook pages but I can't like the others, I did look at them though. Also, I have not read any of your books. I'm not sure why but I think I just got one from my library the other day so I can read that.
Marcus O'Malley from the O'Malley series by Dee Henderson and now that I've read Full Disclosure I have to say Paul Falcon.
AMY CAMPBELL!!! OMIGOSH, LOVE'S RECKONING is one of THE BEST books I have ever read in the CBA and Laura Frantz is one of my dearest friends, so YAY for Eden!! And if you like Laura, I suspect you may like me because we are like blood sisters — she, MaryLu Tyndall and me, both in our writing and in our lives — LOVE those gals!! And like I told the gals above, check out the EXCERPT tab of my website for even more glimpses into my "passionate" style of writing, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scene for each of my books. ROSIE … Faith pretty much tops everyone's list as to a favorite heroine of mine, so thank you and GOOD LUCK!!
SHANNON … THANKS, sweetie, and maybe you'll win the next one here!! GOOD LUCK!!
AMY … good girl!! You have all the points, sweetie, so here's to a win. Hey, ANN … thanks for considering checking me out, and it sounds like you like family series, which is EXACTLY what I write — about the O'Connors, a VERY passionate Irish family, both spiritually and romantically. I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to even see if you like my "passionate" style of writing. I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scene for each of my books there, and that will give you a good idea. Hugs,
Julie
I've only read one Julie Lessman book, A Hope Undaunted, but I have to say that book was one of the most vivid book I've ever read. Unlike most books, where I see the story in the back of my head while reading, I felt as if the characters were literally popping off the page in that book. I remember every character, every scene, and every emotion as if it weren't even a
book or a movie but real. It was a wonderful book and I will definitely be getting the sequels :).
(I liked 9 out of the 10.. I couldn't find a like button for the last one, nor for the print versions of the books, only the ebooks.)
Sean would have to be my favorite then followed by Brady. I absolutely love your books.
My favorite character is Faith O'Connor. She strives to do what is right and always be there for her family. She was able to forgive those who hurt her and move on.
MEGAN, YAY!!!! If you like it, PLEASE let me know, okay? And if not, uh … never mind! π Thank you for doing all 8 pts. and GOOD LUCK!!
LISA, YES!!! Would LOVE to have you add my name to your TBR list, and to help you decide if you would even like my "passionate" style of writing, I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to even see if you like my "passionate" style of writing. I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scene for each of my books there, and that will give you a good idea. If you only have time for one, scroll down to the romantic scene for A HOPE UNDAUNTED — it's my fave!! Thanks again, girl, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
PAMELA W … yeah, it's a LOT to keep track of, girl, isn't it??? LOTS of great authors to check out, and I hope I will be one. To help you decide if you would like my "passionate" style of writing.
TONYA!!! Oh, girl, if you like Father Tim, then I suspect you may just like the O'Connors — my Irish family who are very passionate about God and romance and have some GREAT characters like Father Fitz and Father Mac, who both remind me of Father Tim!! I invite you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to even see if you like my "passionate" style of writing.
REBEKAH … thanks for your entries, and goodness, I hope you like my book that you got from the library! In case it wasn't my book, though, I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you even like my "passionate" style of writing.
LOURDES … Oh, Dee Henderson is just the best, isn't she?? And if you like the O'Malley family … mmm … you may just like the O'Connor family in my books too, so I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you even like my "passionate" style of writing.
Hugs,
Julie
My favorite hero is Sean O' Connor. I love all of your books Julie!!!!
I "liked" all 8 items. jmschwindt0306 at gmail dot com
I liked 7 of the 8 on the list. I have not read one of your books, but after reading the excerpt from A Love Surrendered I really want to read that series π
I liked everything that I could. Your name is new to me as well. However, I look forward to reading your books! The character interview was wonderful. I don't think I have a favorite, each time I read a book, I find a new favorite character…lol
bettimace(at)gmail(dot)com
I have not had the pleasure of reading any of your books, yet. Honestly, I haven't come across your name in my library. I do love to read Christian Fiction books! One of my favorite literary heros is Michael Hosea the hero in "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers. He shows such love and protection and nevers backs down, no matter the cost.
I 'liked' 3 of the links.
Well thanks to this hunt, I've been officially introduced to your novels, I definitely look forward to reading them. Since I haven't yet, I would say one of my favorite literary heroes is Hadassah from Mark of the Lion series π
Also liked all the fb pages!
jamielynne82(at)gmail(dot)com
I love this hunt! I've met so many new authors I never heard of before. I 'liked' everything on the list above.
debsbunch5@jesusanswers.com
APRIL, what a nice thing to say, girl — THANK YOU!! Yeah, I'm nothing if not dramatic, but what can I say — it comes naturally to a CDQ (caffeinated drama queen!!). GOOD LUCK!!
REBECCA … thank you SO much, you sweet thing!! You like those sweet and quiet types, don't you? Well, you may just like Steven in A Love Surrendered, so I hope you give it a shot. π
BECKY … Faith is way out in front as far as my readers' fave heroine, so thank you and GOOD LUCK!!
JENNIFER, THANK YOU!! And good job on the tasks, sweetie — here's to a win!!
ABBY … thank you SO much, and just a word of warning … start with book 1 in the Daughters of Boston, A Passion Most Pure, because this is a family saga really best read in order due to a number of BIG surprises, okay? GOOD LUCK!!
BETTI … I know what you mean! And as a reader who hasn't read my books before, I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you even like my "passionate" style of writing.
SHANNON … Francine Rivers is just THE BEST, isn't she?? If you like heroes who give their all — for God and the heroine — several of my books have ones like that which I'd love for you to try. But before you do, I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you even like my "passionate" style of writing.
JAMIE … oh WOW, Hadassah is one of mine, too!! So much so, that I actually modeled my heroine from my 5th book, A Heart Revealed, after her because my heroine is scarred like Hadassah and her nature is similar as well. I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to read the excerpt from that book, both a spiritual one and a romantic one, and the book is called A Heart Revealed. Thanks again, girl, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
Hugs,
Julie
I haven't read any because up until my local Borders closed, I was pretty lazy about looking for books online so I only ever saw what was in the store. But I recently started following several blogs, and the Christian Book Club Network & I've seen your books mentioned several times. I've actually already added a few to my wishlist before today! Hmm, one of my favorite literary heroes is Samwise Gamgee in Lord of the Rings because of the way he lives out servanthood the way we should. And I love Drew in the last few Love Comes Softly books – He took a horrible accident, grew through it, and didn't let it hold him back from his dreams.
kawaii(dot)katers(at)gmail(dot)com
It won't let me do a "spam-free" email address, fyi.
I liked all 8!!
Thanks so much for this scavenger hunt!
I have not read any of Julie's books sadly. Haven't been able to find a free copy yet (I'm all about libraries and free Amazon books) or if they are available for review purposes it's been in the middle of the series and I like reading the first book first. One of these days though! kentiapalm(at)gmail(dot)com
It's probably too late now but I liked all 8 of the extras.
I don't have one yet but I am going to be checking out books from my library ASAP…
montanmade(at)gmail(.com)
Thanks for hosting this part of the scavenger hunt!
I have only read one of Julie's books but will definitely pick up some more quickly!
Why I haven't read any of her books: Time
A favorite hero: Jericho Tucker from Karen Witemeyer's A Tailor-Made's Bride
i havent read any of your books yet, because i didnt know about them :p
Some of my favorite books are Lisa Bergren's and Ted DekKer's
I liked three of the pages on FaceBook
Sean O'Connor is my favorite! I love a man who is willing to fight for someone he loves.
Hi, Kristen, Sad to say I've not read one of your books…yet. I WILL. I've been so busy writing that I don't allow myself much reading time. I told Robin Hatcher she's in my stack of reading. I'll add at least one of yours, too. Then next time you ask that question, or if we'd meet at ACFW's conference, I'll be able to say "yes."
Having fun with the scavenger hunt !
I "liked" the three Facebook pages for 3 points π
Hopefully you can grab my email from above where I filled it in ?
Oh! And my favorite literary hero is the Scarlet Pimpernel. "They seek him here, they seek him there! That always elusive pimpernel!"
I have not read your books as I grew up in Brazil (lived there for 23 years) and am only now starting to collect books to read. I also have a one year old so don't have much chance to read yet.
One of my favorite characters is Will McCabe in Glamourous Illusions by Lisa T. Bergren. He is always helping Cora.
Another favorite is Joanna Kurtz in The Bridesmaid by Beveryly Lewis. I was also married later in life so can relate.
I have liked all the links above as well.
I liked all three facebook pages. I have not read your books yet, I am still learning who the Christian fiction authors are. I am really loving this scavenger hunt for that reason. I really don't have a favorite hero yet, I do like the pyramid builder in T.L. Higley's book City of the Dead.
Even though he was a bad boy at the beginning, I would have to vote for Collin McGuire. (I did like the 3 Facebook pages.)
I liked all eight links! Thank you for taking part in the scavenger hunt and hosting the additional contest! How exciting. I looking forward to reading new stories by these amazing authors. Thanks for sharing.
I clicked four on your list (seems I'd already done a few before)
I agree that Patrick deserves a vacation away from all that estrogen…
This is actually the first time I've heard of you so I've never read your books, but my favorite characters are the hero and heroine of Letter Perfect, Ruth and Josh, just because of how great they are! π
dnikerle[at]gmail[dot]com
Faith is my favorite hero! love all your books, Julie….you're the best…glad you took time to join the hunt.
And as for the list:
!
KRISTEN'S BREATH OF DAWN ON AMAZON – Added to wish list!
!
TRACY'S ISLE OF SHADOWS ON AMAZON – Added to wish list!
LOVE AT ANY COST ON AMAZON – Added to wish list
(don't do FB things) Also, will LIKE them all on amazon.
Thanks!
Jackie Smith
Julie!!! Can I just mention that I read the deleted scene for Charity….eeep! Loved it!
And, of course….I think I'd have to say Steven was my favorite so far. Goodness, they all have a place in my heart, but A Love Surrendered spoke right to my heart. Steven was so real to me and I just couldn't help loving him! Thank you so much for letting us have the chance to get to know him. ehehe! π
I liked all 8 pages that you suggested up above….and I still have to get to trying Tracy's books! There's a free kindle one on Amazon, so I'm headed over there next!
Hugs, Julie!!!!
I haven't read any of your books yet, but I am looking forward to it! I liked 5 of the list above. I was having trouble with amazon. =(
I haven't read her books, so I can't leave the name of a favorite heroine. My favorite from literature is Jane Austen's Eliza. Love her!
emacartist37(at)gmail(dot)com
I haven't read any of your books yet. The reason being I'm just so far behind in my reading obligations and my TBR pile is so high. My favorite literary hero so far is, Ethan Kincaid from Out of Control by Mary Connealy.
Blessings!
sweetpea.judy(at)yahoo(dot)com
I have not read any of your books. I just recently heard of you and my library doesn't have any of your books. I am always looking for new authors and look forward to reading your books!
Beth Gillihan
rbgillihan(at)gmail(dot)com
I haven't read any of your books yet. However, I have heard great things about them and they are on my to-be-read list. Unfortunately I have too many on that list, and no money to buy more! Haha. I am definitely interested in reading more about Morgan after this interview though! I liked you on Facebook.
I haven't really read any of your books, but I HAVE read Pride and Prejudice, so of course that's my favorite book and as many of my favorite fictional characters. So… Mr. Darcy would be my favorite literary hero, hands down. π
I have only read 2 of your books so far. I LOVED A Passion Most Pure and enjoyed Charity!! Looking forward to reading more! I really enjoy when I can download them on my Nook tablet.
I have nit read any of her books but look forward to adding her name t my author list. Have so many literary authors in each book I read. Will list David Shirazi in the Twelfth Imam.
I liked 3,4,6,8

NANCY … good girl!! And who knows? Maybe you'll win one here, so GOOD LUCK!!
ELIZABETH … yes, Karen's books are WONDERFUL, aren't they? And I SO relate to the time issue, trust me! Ironically, I am able to read about 5-6 books a month just by carrying a book everywhere with me, including in the powder room, so where there's a will, there's a way, eh? GOOD LUCK!!
HUGS,
Julie,
Julie, I haven't read any of your books…yet…but I hope to change that very soon. I only heard about you recently and have been reading other "new to me" Christian authors as well. I liked all 3 Facebook pages you listed. One of my favorite heroes would be Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables. I liked how he was a true friend to Anne for many years and encouraged her to grow as a person. Of course that he eventually won her love was the best part of all.
snowywhitedog (at)gmail(dot)com
Wow! We get to meet Morgan again?? That's awesome! I can't wait to read it! Guess I know of another book going on my Christmas list π
I like Collin when he let God turn his life around!
(shantelle@truevine.net)
Hi Julie. I just recently discovered you, so I haven't read your books yet, but I can't wait to! They look SOOOO good! I just love Colonel Brandon from Sense & Sensibility…he's the definition of a true hero to me.

JESSICA … Oh, I never thought of that, girl, but, YES, that is an attractive quality, for sure, and one Sean has in spades!! That's one of the reasons I enjoyed writing the fight scene between Luke and Brady as well, because Luke was willing to fight Leo for Betty. π
Hey, BECKY, this is actually my blog (Julie Lessman), and Kristen is my guest, but I will attest that her books are AWESOME, so DO pick one up, okay? Who knows — maybe you'll win one during the hunt!
SHARON … glad you're having fun … here's to a win!!
RINA … I am ashamed to say that I have never read that book, so it looks like I need to check it out!
LAURA WILSON … Oh, WOW, wasn't Glamorous Illusions WONDERFUL?? I actually had the privilege of endorsing that book, which was a real blessing!!
JENNIFER … this IS a great way to find new authors, isn't it?? If you've never read me before, I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you even like my "passionate" style of writing. VIRGINIA … you are MORE than welcome, sweetie, and GOOD LUCK!!
LOL, DEBRA!!! You are TOO CUTE, you sweetheart, you!! And, HEY … what's wrong with estrogen??? I happen to have a healthy supply … π

DEE N, no worries, sweetie — that's what this hunt is all about — finding lots of great authors we've never read before, right? GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
JACKIE!!! THANKS for coming by, girl, and here's to a win in this HUGE contest, eh? And I can't figure out HOW my name came up on your comment instead of your own … π
EM!!! You go, girl, and get Tracy's book — she is a CHRISTY award winner, my friend, so you cannot go wrong!! I'm glad Steven won your heart, though … π
CHERI … thanks for trying … Amazon has been a brat today!! But you're in the contest, so here's to a win!!
BETH MACKINNEY … you sure can't go wrong with Jane Austen, eh? GOOD LUCK in the contest, girl!!

I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scene for each of my books there, and that will give you a good idea.
Hugs,
Julie
Katie O'Connor is a favorite character of mine. I'm pretty sure I did 7 of the items. I added the amazon ones to my wish list… I wasn't sure how to 'like' them.
Steven and Annie were my favorites.
I already like you on FB, Julie. I liked A Love Surrendered on both Amazon and B&N, and I also liked A Light in the Window. Looking forward to that one.
I also put my review of A Love Surrendered on Amazon – I thought I had already done that; apologies for being so slow to add it.
I'm loving the scavenger hunt!
mochawithlinda at gmail dot com
One of my favorite fictional heroes is the Ale Boy from Jeffrey Overstreet's Auralia's Thread series.
My email is veritas6913 AT gmail DOT com
I'm sorry to say I haven't read your books yet, but I'm thrilled to find a new author to read & look forward to reading all of your books. My favorite fictional hero(es) are the O'Malley family from Dee Henderson's series.
Well, I have read some of your books but would have to get them from the library again to pick a favorite character! Great idea, I think I will request some after I finish this scavenger hunt!
Hmmm….I haven't read any of your books yet but look forward to getting my hands on some. I'm fairly new to the, "love of books" world. My sister got me hooked about 9 years ago and gave me author names. I'm finding more and more of my own and so excited about the opportunity to get to know new authors through this scavenger hunt. A favorite character of mine is Max Jacobs from Nightshade, Ronie Kenidg's book. I also liked all of the above books and pages. Can't wait to get connected. God bless!!!
kristie(at)connectionlifechurch(dot)org
All 8 links liked!
I haven't read any of your books yet! That's what is so good about this scavenger hunt. There are so many amazing books out there that I just didn't know about before!
My favourite literary hero is would have to be Gabi, from Lisa Bergren's River of Time series!
My email address is anneliese.n.shaw(at)gmail(dot)com
I liked 2 of the items on your list… off to be a mom so no time right now for the others!
I have never read your books but only because I haven't seen your books before. I will be rectifying that after seeing some of your books. My favorite author has to be Linda Lael Miller. She writes awesome books. I liked all 8 choices too!
I am enjoying visiting some of my favorite author's blogs on this scavenger hunt, but. I am having a blast "meeting" you and other new-to-me authors. I can't think of a favorite hero right now. There are so many good ones.
I am sorry I haven't read your books. I don't believe I've heard of you before, but the good news is, I have now! Sooo, my favorite Christian literary hero I suppose would be Blair from the Cape Refuge series. She is so spunky and tough…so unlike me!
Luke MacGee in a Hope Undaunted is such a good guy and perfect for Katie.
ladydianajg(at)yahoo(dot)com
I forgot to put in my last post that I "Liked" all eight items on your list! Thanks!
ladydianajg(at)yahoo(dot)com
I haven't read any of your books yet, why not? because I just discovered them (Reason 1 I love this scavenger hunt!) I liked all 7 things on the list!
Favorite literary hero…that's tough… I think I will go with Bilbo Baggins since I am rereading the hobbit and I love how he goes on an adventure even though he is afraid and wants to stay safe and comfortable!
dmione1(at)hotmail(dot)com
Not sure I can pick a favorite, but probably Faith. I felt like I identified the most with her and she was also from the first book I read by Julie.
I actually haven't read any of your books yet, but I read the deleted scene from the last blog. I was really interested and read the Amazon selection of "A Love Surrendered" and now I'm hooked!!! I'm going to have to go out and buy it!!! π
Like I said, since I'm new to your books, but just from the little I read I think I'm really going to like Annie. For some reason I'm always attached to orphans a lot. lol π
As for other story's heroes, I really like Christy from Robin Jones Gunn's series. Her faith journey makes me examine my own, and I like that. π
Julie- this is the first time I have heard of you! I definitely look forward to reading your books and getting to know you!
Julie I love your books! I'm reading Sean's story now, but I love all the others too, especially Luke and Brady.
My favorite Julie Lessman hero? That's difficult! They're all so wonderful, but I'm going to go with what is the least obvious choice for me – Sean. I haven't read his book yet but I've been anxious to get to it since Faith first introduced us to her family!! That aside, I do so love Mitch. I think it's the pure Irish of him π
A note to Kristen – you ripped my heart out with "The Still of Night" & I'm not sure I can handle this new one (but I'll probably brave it anyway!).
I went and liked a bunch of stuff – 4 things on the list – 5 if you count that I'd already like your FB page ages ago, Julie!
Funny you should ask why I haven't read your books yet. See, there's this scavenger hunt that is to introduce me to new authors to me, and ding, ding, ding, you win… You are my new author to read. I have to admit that I have placed some of your books on my TBR list just haven't gotten to them yet, but now I'm more excited to. And you did a great job introducing Kristen here. I have read her books and LOVE them. Not sure I'm wanting Morgan Spencer to find a new love though… I loved his story. π But we'll see where that goes.
Added you on Facebook and will move your books up on my TBR list. π
Julie Lessman and Kristen Heitzmann in one blog post? Two of my favorite authors!
My favorite heroine in all of your books has to be Faith.
And I liked all 8 pages!
Ashley Baxter from Karen king bury novels, she started out so different than the godly women she ended up. I so wish we could be friends
I just recently learned of your books, so I haven't yet had the opportunity to read any of them. I think one of my favorite characters, though, is Ashley Blake from Karen Kingsbury's books. While I don't necessarily relate to her, I have learned a lot from her and respect her.
I liked the three FB pages.
Thanks for participating in the scavenger hunt!
I believe I have read some of the very first books…bur without picking them up and starting in them again, I am not clear on which ones they were….I love to read and have for YEARS! I love the characters that start out fiesty…become humble yet retain their vibrant personalities but tempered with Grace & Gentile ways.
I haven't yet read your books. I do however like KRISTEN HEITZMANN as I have read several of her books. Thanks for this fun scavenger hunt as a way of getting to know you all.
Liked 4 total
I am with some of the other readers in that this is the first time getting introduced to you and your books, which I can't wait to read! Carlton Buell in Lenora Mattingly Weber's books is a favorite, as he has such a big heart for those less fortunate and does everything in his power to help others.
I'm ashamed to say I haven't read your books because I haven't heard of you before today (this is a huge failing on my part), but I am so pleased to know you now! I greatly look forward to reading your work.
Not sure I really have a favorite hero. I have come to love so many of them from authors such as Mary Lu Tyndall and Francine Rivers. I will say, above all, and I'm sure you will agree with me on this, that the best literary hero is Jesus Christ. He is far from just a character on paper, of course. His life, love, and sacrifice was to save us all; the best story ever told. Thankfully this story is nothing short of history. π
Thank you for doing this! God bless you!
I also liked all the facebook pages above, as well as added all the books to my wishlist on Amazon. elecviolnplar101(at)hotmail(dot)com
I'm sorry but I haven't had the great fortune to read any of Julie's books. But my all time favorite character is Frodo.
I haven't read any of Julie's books but they sure sound interesting. Will have to put them on my 'to read' list!
I haven't read any of your books, I didn't know about you! Sorry! But I can imagine they are God filled and wonderful.
I clicked on all 8 points. Thank you!
I "liked" everything on the list. Thanks.
ggriffey(at)bellsouth(dot)net
Marcy is my favorite, she is the kind of mother I would like to be!
I haven't read any of your books…yet. I have really been out of the fiction genre loop since highschool (that's a long time ago!). I've slowly been reading again and finding all kinds of new authors. I'm looking forward to reading some of your works as well.
Favorite literary hero? Actually I really liked the heroine of Becky Wade's new book Kate Donovan.
Have not read any of your books as yet, but looking forward to reading The Daughters of Boston Series. It is hard to choose on hero as each book has its own hero and wonderful attributes. I love meeting a new hero each time I pick up a new book.
forgot to comment the extra entries. I liked everything…so 8 total.
I don't have too much free time to read – so I have to admit I have not read any of your books. I would love to, though! I do love reading when I get the chance. I have always loved military heros, personally. π
I need to read more of these books! Love learning about new authors.
Thanks for participating in the scavenger hunt. I have some of your books on my kindle. I haven't had a chance to read one yet. But I will π
I don't remember if I've left a comment here or not (I've been all over this scavenger hunt). I apologise if I've already posted.
Anyway, I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't read any of your books YET, that's probably because I don't generally hunt out historic fiction. But the GREAT thing about this scavenger hunt is being introduced to new authors.
I have liked all the buttons (except for the Barnes and Noble sites)

HUGS,
Julie
I love Katie…from when she was little to when she was all grown up. I love her spunk and tenacity. I really like Beth, too!
I have to say the most heroic character in your books in my opinion (I have not read them all yet) is Annie, because of her willingness to give up the man she loves for her sister.
Havent read any of your books yet but will check them out. literary her would be Frodo Baggins.
Julie! I love contests, especially by you. I'm so entering the Scavenger but couldn't resist yours as well.
I did 7 of the 8 "likes" (I already LOVE your FB, so couldn't like that one again)
Sean OConnor is definitely my fave. For a while it was Mitch, but Sean won my heart in Emma's story. I loved how he treated Emma & his own story of redemption and if I could find a real-life version of him I would be a delightfully happy girl π
Hugs!!
email: fireflies_n_stardust(at)yahoo(dot)com
I always look forward to new authors for me, and I'm especially looking forward to your books!
GAIL … most people pick Faith, I guess because she epitomizes the kind of faith that shines — bold and passionate!!
ELIZABETH, THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for your interest in A Love Surrendered, but can I ask you a favor? Since this is a family saga best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises in book 1, would you mind starting with book 1 in The Daughters of Boston, A Passion Most Pure? It won American Christian Fiction Writers Debut Book of the Year in 2009, so it's a good one to start with, I promise. And it's pretty cheap as an e-book on Amazon right now, I think … or maybe paperbook … can't remember. Anyway, THANK YOU again and HAPPY READING!!
PAULA OLIVER … thank you, my friend, and right back at you!! To make sure you would like my "passionate" style of writing, I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you even like my "passionate" style of writing. TRISH, thank you SO much, girl, and Luke and Mitch are my faves, although Brady, Collin, Sean, Steven and Patrick are NOTHING to sneeze at … π
TAMMY!!!! Hey, girl, I can't wait to see what you think of Sean and Emma's story. I will warn you that their book moves a LOT slower because they have a friendship that slowly ripens into love and well, Emma's married, so that certainly slows things down too … π And, Mitch?? Oh … be still my heart … him and Luke!! And IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT was my FAVORITE Kristen Heitzmann book — SO good!!
JUNE!!! LOL … ding, ding, ding … SO thrilled to hear you're going to give me a shot, girl — YAY!! And if I may be so bold, PLEASE begin with book 1 in The Daughters of Boston, A Passion Most Pure because this is a family saga best read in order due to a number of BIG surprises, okay? It won American Christian Fiction Writers Debut Book of the Year in 2009, so it's a good one to start with, I promise. And it's pretty cheap as an e-book on Amazon right now, I think … or maybe paperbook … can't remember. Anyway, THANK YOU again and HAPPY READING and if you like it, let me know, okay? And if not … uh, well, never mind … π
LYNNAE, you sweet thing you, THANK YOU!! Faith wins it by a landslide, that's for sure, but you may just like my last heroine in the family saga, Annie, who is actually mentored by Faith in Steven's story, A Love Surrendered. I wanted to come full circle with another FAITH, so that's what I did. π GOOD LUCK!!
RANDI … if you like Karen Kingsbury, you may just like my books as well because Karen is a wee bit more edgy than most CBA authors, and I am too. I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you like my "passionate" style of writing. LAURI P. — Oh, AMEN TO THAT, girlfriend, about Jesus. None of us would be ANYWHERE without Him, that's for sure!! LOVE MaryLu (a dear friend and favorite author) and Francine — EXCELLENT authors, both of them!!
JHTWRITER … No worries, girl … hopefully we will remedy that in this hunt, eh? GOOD LUCK!!
SALLY … before you do that, sweetie, I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you like my "passionate" style of writing. Check my website calendar out for giveaways because I would send you the first book in that series if you won, A Passion Most Pure, okay? SUSAN P. … Well, I don't write about military heroes, but my first book, A Passion Most Pure, which won American Christian Fiction Writers Debut Book of the Year for 2009 is during WWI, so does that count? π You may want to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you like my "passionate" style of writing. SUSAN GRONDIN … YAY, girl, I hope one of them is A PASSION MOST PURE because it's best to read this family saga in order due to a number of HUGE surprises, and that's the first book. It won American Christian Fiction Writers Debut Book of the Year for 2009, so let me know what you think, okay? GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
LYNN … oooo, what a challenge!! I'll make a deal with you, my friend, to see if I can't get you hooked on historic fiction. If you READ, LIKE and POST A GOOD REVIEW for book 1 in The Daughters of Boston, A Passion Most Pure (this is a family saga best read in order due to a number of BIG surprises and APMP won American Christian Fiction Writers Debut Book of the Year in 2009, so it's a good one to start with, I promise), I will send you book 2 in the series, A Passion Redeemed, absolutely free, okay? GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
HUGS,
Julie
CAROLYN … gosh, that's unusual … liking polar opposites like that, Beth and Katie!! I love Katie's spunk too, and I don't know if you've read her story, A Hope Undaunted yet, but if not, please do because it's my absolute FAVE of all the books I've written. Good luck in the contest!!
MEAGAN … I would love to see what you think of Faith, Emma and Luke … three of the characters in my book who sacrifice a lot and are incredibly giving and full of faith. Thanks for entering and GOOD LUCK!!
JAMES NICHOLS … well, hopefully we can remedy that with a win here, so GOOD LUCK!!
SARAH!!! How are you, my friend??? And Sean is pretty special … the perfect man for Emma, for sure. Have you read their subplot in A Love Surrendered yet? You will love that, I'm sure, then. π GOOD LUCK, sweetie!

I have not read any of your books yet, but I enjoyed the interview with the character. That was a really creative idea. My favorite heroes are always the flawed ones. I find them must easier to relate too!
Hey Jules!!!!
I finally am getting the hang of this π So many fabulous authors and some, like Kristen, I've never even heard about! It's absolutely FABULOUS, dahling π But no really it's quite fun so far lol π
I have to agree with what I saw so many said in passing….I love Faith's character a lot. I think partly because I've heard you speak on her so often because you have a soft spot for her too, right? I'm pretty sure I remember you saying somewhere that Faith is your spiritual self….after rereading the book after hearing you say that, I saw a lot of you in her π Love that!
ANyway, thanks so much for your help today as I was trying to figure this out lol. Love you bunches!

I haven't read any of your books as I grew up in Brazil (lived there for 23 years) so I was out of touch with many authors. I've just recently started collecting books (mostly within the past 3 years), but lately haven't had much of a chance to read as I have a one year old.
This is my first time doing a scavenger hunt and it is fun to get to know new authors. I'm looking forward to being able to read all these new books I'm discovering.

Yes, Glamourous Illusions was a great book. I can't wait until I get the next book in the series.
I forgot to leave my e-mail address for you. Its laura(at)unforsaken(dot)ca
I hope I win something during this scavenger hunt.
love your books…HOpe undaunted is a fave so it's Katie for me!
I"ve liked 5 of the links,
truckredford(at)gmail (.com)
My favorite Lessman hero is either Sean or Brady!
I liked: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7
I think it worked on B&N, I'm not sure. And I had already liked 5 & 8 so I don't know if those count.
marissamehresman(at)aol(dot)com
Ooo! Hard choice! But my favorite hero has always been Luke. He is just such a rascal and yet so sweet. And Mitch would be a close second. I just love them all! Thanks so much for this giveaway!
I liked T.L. Higley, Kristin Hietzman and already liked your page on FB.
Oops, forgot to say why I like Sean and Brady! I like them mainly because I like the heroines they were "paired up" with the best.
Hi Julie! I'm meeting several new-to-me authors through this scavenger hunt! I haven't read your books yet, but you've certainly piqued my interest. Outside of the Bible, my favorite literary hero is adventurous little Sal from the children's picture book "Blueberries for Sal." I'll never forget the way I felt sitting on my grandma's lap as she read that story to me.
Thanks for the great info, and for offering the giveaways! I "liked" the 3 FB pages.
Just,
Dana

Thanks for introducing us to new authors and new books. It helps me "catch up" on ones I have missed as well.

LAURA WILSON, sooooo admire you for attempting this, girl, and with a 1-year-old, to boot!! YOU deserve a win, sweetie, so GOOD LUCK!!
ELIZA, THANK YOU, my friend, and A Hope Undaunted is my absolute FAVE of all the books I've written, so I'm glad you like it too — GOOD LUCK!!
MARISSA!!! SO GOOD to see you here, girl, and here's to a win!! Hopefully Sean or Brady will bring you luck … π
Hugs,
Julie
Sorry, I have't YET read any of your works. But my favorite fictional character would have to be Samwise Gamgee of the Lord of the Rings. (Yes, I'm one of "those" people.) He's the ordinary fellow who achieves extraordinary things one step at a time.
Luke is my favorite hero. You have written him consistently as a God-fearing man who is still human. I think you've shown his humanity at the same time that you have shown his heart for God and his family. Challenges have definitely come to him and Katie but he is always ready to admit his faults and weaknesses (even if this comes a little late…)
I read their story first and think that it will always hold a special place in my heart!
I don't think I have read any of your books. A character from a book that I enjoyed, the girl's name was Kate and she was in a great story that really drew me in.
I look forward to reading your books.
My favorite is hands-down Emma Malloy! She overcame obstacles she didn't even know she had! Awesome, awesome ending and I like her heart! Kathleen
I liked everyone of the eight above! (I would have liked more if you'd given them to me!) I can pick any book I'd like??
lanehillhouse[at]centurylink[dot]net
I liked all but the Barnes and Nobles.
Well, the liking all your pages thing was easy because I've already liked them, and all the other books you don't have listed and your amazon author page…is there anything more on the internet where I can punch the thumbs up for you? π But as to the official list, I've liked 6.
And technically, I'm already in one of your books. My maiden name is Brubaker…..he's a villain in your books, right? Actually it works since um, one of my immediate Brubaker family members have made multiple trips to prison…..I always thought it was apropos for the prison movie named Brubaker to be named Brubaker. SO if I win, I'll have to have a good guy named Jagears, eh?
I have not read your books, but they look great. I have to admit that I don't have a favorite hero at the moment.
rachel(dot)kasperson(at)gmail(dot)com
I cannot give you a favorite character. I love all your books. I love all the characters as they are different and unique in their own way. WOuld love to win.
jrs362 at hotmail dot com
My favorite hero will always be Collin. I fell in love with him as Faith did and I nearly cried when I thought she had chosen Mitch! Lets just say, Faith and Collin were and still are my favorite couple and that If God ever chooses to bless me with a future mate, I do pray that our romance will be just as true and passionate as Faith and Collins.
ourpossibilities2011 @ gmail . com
Whoops, I totally forgot to say who my fav hero is of yours, I've only read the first 3 books, so I'll go with Colin.
I honestly hadn't heard of Julie until now (I know, shame on me) but my favorite historical fiction character of all time is Haddasah in Francine River's Mark of the Lion trilogy.
I have not read any of your books simply because I haven't heard of you! Haha Jane Eyre is one of my favorite literary heros because of her independence and ability to stand up for what's right. π
sarahgorton12(at)gmail(dot)com
I have not read any of your books having just been introduced to you through this Scavenger Hunt. One of my favorite heros is Agatha Christie's Poirot. My email is rttl@mosquitonet.com
I think (like so many others) Sean is my favorite. He is sweet, caring and loving! π
I have "liked" all 8 links you have listed above.
I really enjoy your books and look forward to reading more in the future. π
Thank you for the opportunity with this giveaway.
I liked 8 pages and love T.L Higley. This hunt is so much fun, now I have more authors that I admire!!
twomainecats(at)msn(dot)com
I have not had the pleasure of reading one of your books yet. It seems I sway to the authors I know when I am looking for a new book. However, I have recently downloaded "Secrets" to my Kindle and look forward to reading it.
I currently read Dee Henderson.
I liked 5 of the links.
Thank you for this opportunity!
Hi Julie,I haven't read any of your books yet because your a new author to me!My favorite literary hero is Wyatt from Margaret Daley's book Saving Hope.

TERESA … thrilled to do so, my friend, and GOOD LUCK!!
LOL, WENDY … "one of THOSE people," eh??? π It's all good, darlin' …
KATHERINE … I love Luke too … and Mitch! Those two are my faves, but Luke is definitely the stuff heroes are made of!!
ASHLEY … let's see if we can't remedy that, sweetie, with a win in this contest, okay? And I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see if you like my "passionate" style of writing.
KATHLEEN!!! Well, I liked you before, girl, but NOW??? After knowing Emma is a fave — I love you even more because she is truly a gentle and kind woman … like I'm thinking you must be too … GOOD LUCK, my friend!!
ASHLEY … thanks, sweetie … and GOOD LUCK!!
RACHEL K. Thanks, girl, and I hope you do give my books a try because if there's one thing I have a LOT of, it's HEROES that I hope will make you sigh. I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website to see what I mean because I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scene for each of my books there, and that will give you a good idea. If you only have time for one, scroll down to the romantic scene for A HOPE UNDAUNTED — it's my fave!! Thanks again, girl, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
JANE SQUIRES … THANKS, my friend, and YES, I do believe they ALL are "different and unique in their own way, so thank you for noticing that!! GOOD LUCK!!
ASHLEY FOSBERG … oh, honey, I pray that for you too!! And you know what??? It's TOTALLY possible because my Marcy and Patrick's marriage is based on my husband's and mine, so I KNOW it's possible to have a deeply passionate and God-centered marriage, so hang in there, my friend. π
MELISSA … That seems to be the general consensus on the heroes in DOB, so GOOD LUCK!!
KAYLENE … Oh, girl, I sooooo agree!! That trilogy is one of my ALL-TIME faves because of that character!!
SARAH G. … no worries, girl, that's what this scavenger hunt is all about — being introduced to NEW CBA authors, eh?? If you think you might like my type of "passionate" fiction, I encourage you to check out the EXCERPT tab of my website where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scene for each of my books there, and that will give you a good idea. If you only have time for one, scroll down to the romantic scene for A HOPE UNDAUNTED — it's my fave!! Thanks again, girl, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
RTT(AT)MOSQUITONET.COM … Agatha Christie is a DEFINITE good one to pick, so here's to a win!!
TWOMAINCATS(AT)MSN(DOT)COM … that makes two of us, darlin' — I LOVE T.L. Higley too!! π
SHERRI … You will LOVE Secrets, girl, because that was one of my faves of Kristen's books as well as In the Still of the Night, so HAPPY READING and GOOD LUCK!!
KATIE N … OH, I LOVE Margaret Daley, so GOOD CHOICE!!!
HUGS,
JULIE
This is a great contest to learn about all these authors I've never heard of!! π
10 sisters!! Wow! π I have 4 sisters and 6 brothers and 5 sister in laws and 5 brother in laws and 14 nieces and nephews with at least three more on the way that I know of! I come from a crazy big family and I LOVE it!! π I just had my first baby in August and I am so excited about having my own family:)
Julie!!!! How in the world do you expect me to choose just one hero?! I love all of them for different reasons- Patrick as the patriarch and Godly leader of his family, Collin- the bad boy who finally realized it was God he was searching for and still has just enough left to keep you swooning, Mitch- who forgave…and forgave… and forgave again; choosing to love when most would have just given up. However, never mistake him as weak or a door mat! He sure can hold his own with Charity and she needs it!, Brady- the man with such a sweet, devoted heart for God but didn't see his own value and worth through God's eyes. Luke- the only man that could truly keep Katie on her toes! I love how I was able to follow their relationship from the very beginning when they were children. Sean- /sigh So much like Patrick. Devoted, honorable, Godly, a true leader. I haven't read Steven's story yet… but I'm sure I will love him just as much! So, there is no way I could choose. I love them all for different reasons! I was already a fan of your Facebook page and of "Love Surrendered" on amazon, but I did "like" everything else! Thanks Julie!

I loved Faith's character! Her faith and perseverance in every hard situation that she went through really spoke to me! She is such an inspiration!
kauffmanad(at)gmail(dot)com
LEANA … I agree!! And it's ALL Lisa Bergren's brainchild, so the thanks goes to her!!
SARAH RAMSEY … WOW!!! Holidays must be fun in your house, girl, especially as young as you all are!! And SUPER CONGRATS on the new addition, my friend … enjoy EVERY moment because it's gone ALL too quickly … π
HEATHER!!! Oh, how FUN to see you here, my friend!! And, WOW, what a rundown on my heroes — you nailed every one!! And I think you're going to love Steven too, because beneath that college wild guy who turns into a staunchly dedicated, smoldering prohibition Agent a la Eliot Ness, is a shy, little boy with a curious mind and a love for Mysto Magic games!! π Let me know what you think after you read it, girl, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
Hugs,
Julie
Oh and I liked all the links!
kauffmanad(at)gmail(dot)com
I liked both Kristen and Tracy's pages. π
I've only read one of your books so far so my favorite has to be Collin. He's wonderful. I can't wait to read your other books.
Liked the following:

TRACY HIGLEY'S FACEBOOK PAGE
JULIEβS FACEBOOK PAGE
I have never read your books but am anxious to start. I don't really have a favorite hero or herione in the books I've read. However I do like Kathy Herman's books.
I 'liked' 3 pages. Having fun with the scavanger hunt.
I haven't read your books yet because I'm just learning about you. Sorry! I love Jane Eyre.
I haven't read any Julie Lessman books, just because I only recently heard of you! But one favorite book character of mine is Katie Weldon from Robin Jones Gunn's books.
Unfortunately, I haven't read any of your books because I have never heard of you until now – however your books sound great. Liz Curtis Higgs – I adore her! 3 extra "LIKE"'s (all facebook)
ForeverdazzledbyKL(at)gmail(dot)com
loving this hunt. I haven't read your books because your a new author that I have discovered on this hunt. UMM I don't have a literary hero yet. After I read your books that should change.
I haven't read any of these books. There are so many authors that I haven't previously heard of. And at the moment I can't really name a favorite hero. If I like a book, I basically identify with a character in that book until the next book is in my hands. And then I have a long list of favorite books and characters in the back of my mind.
Hi! I haven't read your books because mostly I just read YA, and when I'm not reading it, I'm writing it. π Thanks for this post, I'm so excited about the Scavenger Hunt! v(at)boldbrightbeautiful(dot)com
I haven't read any of your books yet, though I do look forward to it, because my reading list has become so long (and is getting longer as I work my way through the hunt!). My all time favorite hero is Mr. Darcy, though I've enjoyed reading about Morgan, too.
I haven't read any of your books, but I probably will soon. I'm learning about so many authors and my reading list keeps growing thanks to this scavenger hunt. π
I have never read any of your books, but looking forward to gettng to know you the author.
I'm just discovering new authors thru the scavenger hunt and Julie is one! I must get to my library and request a few! I have too many favorite characters π I love Teri Blackstock's mom in the Intervention series. She's willing to fight at all costs for her daughter. (liked the FB pages, too)
Oh, my goodness! These characters come alive! I devoured the first few books and I'm so looking forward to the next! I know I liked Faith better than Charity…As far as the men, they are all just dreamy. I love the way Mitch knows Charity thoroughly–he knows what she'll say before she says it, and he knows how to handle her. And he loves her anyway! That's mind-boggling!
kandrajane at bellsouth dot net
Julie, I have not heard of you, but will try to check out a book on my Kindle.
I liked the 3 facebook pages. I am enjoying learning about new authors through this hunt!
I "Liked": Author Kristen Heitzman, & TL Higlley, & Julie Lessman on Facebook. =D
I have not yet read any of your books, Julie, but I ordered a whole bunch from my library! Seems like just the thing I'd LOVE–SO glad to get to know you & your writing through this blog-hop scavenger hunt!
One of my favorite literary heroes is Colonel Brandon in Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility. He personifies the patient gentleman who may come across as quiet and bored, but he feels deeply and shows his love not through words, but through actions.
mmbbg72493{at}gmail{dot}com
Hmm…well, I've never read anything by this author cause I've never had the opportunity to. Until today, I've never even heard of her, but I'm glad that I did, as the stories sound intriguing! As to my favorite literary hero……well, I'm not one to choose absolute favorites, and it would differ in different generas I think too, but one of my favorite heros would have to be…um…..gosh, I can't think of one…I like…okay, so this is going to sound cheesy, but I love the Hardy Boys. Frank and Joe Hardy are my heros. They are so sweet and so cool. Each one has his own personality, but they work together so well. I love the trouble they get into and seeing how they worm their way out of it too. Mysteries, danger, and suspence, along with the perfect amount of romance. That's what I enjoy.
I have discovered a new author to read
I've never read one of your books. Why, you ask? I normally do not go first to historical novels, but instead to more modern stories. That's not to say I haven't enjoyed many historical novels and works of fiction, just not my first choices. I would love to read one of your books though and will seek them out next trip to the bookstore.
Meanwhile, currently, my favorite hero/heroine in Raleigh Harmon from that series by Sibella Giorella. Also, I absolutely love Marcus O'Malley from Dee Hendersons O'Malley series. I saw where someone had posted that and it has been a long time since I read that series but so loved every book in it!
Today is my intro to your writing, Julie, and I'm so glad to find you!
I've been enjoying Tamera Alexander, Kristen Heitzmann and Susan May Warren lately, but I have to say that one of my favorite authors is Elizabeth Goudge. Have you read any of her books? She brings the soul of a character to life with skill and beauty.
Anywho, our local library has one of your books so I've placed it on hold and am eager to pick it up later today. Blessings!
p.s. I liked Kristen's facebook page. <3
I really liked Smith Chandler from Edge of Recall. Another favorite literary hero is Ted Dekker's Thomas Hunter.
Update – I also liked all of the author's FB pages.
I haven't read any of your books, Julie, though I can't say way, really! My favourite literary hero… hmmm… this is hard! I would say Mr. Darcy is one of those heros that is flawed, but has heart! π

I have never heard of Julie before today. I am a voracious reader, but due to financial constraints anything I read I get from the library. I do ask the librarian to order books for me though from Christian Fiction authors. She is always really good about buying books for me.
One of my favorite heroines from another book, is Haddash, I believe. She is the main character in the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers. It has been such a long time since I read that series, but I remember how much of an impact the series made on me.
I am enjoying the hunt. I've already made one phone call today, asking Martha, our librarian to order some books, I'm sure my list will grow.
Thanks and God Bless,
Kim in NC
I was abit confused about putting my e-mail address. I thought you wanted it so it wouldn't be read for spam. So here it is:

I have to be honest and say I haven't gotten to read any of your books yet. I have a couple of the A Love Surrendered series downloaded to my Kindle, but I haven't had time to read them.
However, I was able to follow/like all the pages listed above! π 8points
Thanks for an awesome giveaway / scavenger hunt!

My favorite hero is Collin, I just can't resist a redeemed bad boy! I'd love to be entered. Thanks, Julie!

I have not read any of your books, YET! π I am already intrigued by what I have read here. I look forward to reading your books SOON!
My favorite literary character… This is a hard one for me. I love reading and have so many favorites! I would say (for now) my favorite fictional character would be Bree Matthews from Colleen Coble's books.

I'm sorry to admit I haven't read any of Julie's books yet. But my fave literary hero is Elizabeth Bennet from Pride & Prejudice. She has spunk. And she gets Mr. Darcy.
I forgot to tell you my email

What a neat way to do this — an interview with a character!
No, I'm sorry, Julie, I don't think I have ever read one of your books. Not sure why — just one of those "so many books, so little time" things. Maybe I can remedy that with this contest. π
My all-time favorite literary hero is Jean ValJean from Les Miserables.
It is so hard to choose a favorite Julie Lessman character; they are all wonderful in their own way. I do really like Faith and Collin though, perhaps because their story is the first I read. It's fun to read more about them in successive books.
julie…name a favourite 'julie lessman hero.' that's impossible…i LOVE all of your beloved characters…All. of. them. And I'm eager to meet another 'family' π
I liked you on FB!
I liked Kristen Heitzman on FB
I liked Tracy's FB page.
I don't think it took my first comment where I mentioned that my favorite character from one of your books is Faith. She is full of strength and faith!
I loved the above interview! Thanks for sharing
I have not read any of your books. I usually read mysteries and one of my favorite literary heroes is Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs.
valleyreader(at)gmail(dot)com
I haven't read any of your books yet, but I really look forward to doing so after learning about you on this Scavenger Hunt. One of my favorite literary characters is Shelby from "The Princess" by Lori Wick. I appreciate her willingness to trust, even without the promise of results.
Hi Julie,
Goodness, to name a favorite hero of yours…that's not easy. Love them all. But if I do have to pick one, it's still Brady. I loved his sweet, gentle ways. His love for God and how he always wanted to be an encourager. But, yes, I loved them all; π

P.S. I liked 7 of the list above.
fun contest – met some great new authors to me
Favorite, ah, so difficult to pick one!! I respect Patrick. I know he's not necessarily a main character, but then again, he is. He's the foundation for the whole O'Connor clan. He struggles, but still leads. He and Marci work through their difficulties and show a strong bond to their children. It's hard to find such a man nowadays. My husband's getting there, with God's help. π
psagens at gmail dot com
I have to confess I have not read your books as yet but I do have some of them cued up on my Kindle, A Love Surrendered first and I already know i will love it. I have been following you and your writing career for some time now. I liked all 8 of the items although I already liked your facebook page awhile back. ksucindy(at)excite(dot)com
What in the world Julie Lessman?! How exactly am I supposed to pick a favorite hero from among all those delicious men of yours? *Le sigh* I guess there are worse things to do in life than sit and mull over great men even if they are fictional! Hehehe. Well I guess I'm going to go with Patrick. After having just finished reading A Light in the Window I realized just how hard he had to work at getting Marcy and to me that's what makes a great hero! A guy who will do anything and wait however long it takes is pretty darn awesome in my humble opinion. Course you know I've always had a thing for the strong, silent types so I guess John Brady come in at a very close second. π
Thank you so much for the chance to win and for participating in this cool scavenger hunt game.
xoxo,
Renee C.
steelergirl83(at)gmail(dot)com
for some reason I think Patrick is a true hero….he and Marcy are where it all started anyway.
ABreading4fun [at] gmail [dot] com
I have not read your books yet although I have been eyeing one for our church ladies' book club. π The cover for A Light in the Window is gorgeous! Hmmm one of my favorite literary heroes is Roarke from the Eve Dallas series. I liked all 8 pages. Thank you for sharing in the hunt.

Thank you.
I havent read any so far, there are so many authors out there…. but I will now.
I liked all the facebook stuff
I've never run across one of your books before; I'll have to get one through the library!
I have not read any of your books. Whenever I see them, I think I should read them because they look so good, but I'm always too busy! I am planning to read all your books as soon as I get the chance, though, My favorite literary heroes are Dr. Seward from Dracula, Jean Valjean fro Les Miserables, Alex Reed from Marylu Tyndall's Surrender the Night, and Luke Palmer from Love on the Line by Deeanne Gist,
Hmm, wow, all your heros are so good! But…hmm…if I'd have to pick, I think I'd say that Luke and Mitch are my favorites. ALL of the heros are very passionate…but I just like Luke and Mitch's passion more, I guess, lol! π
Oh, and I went and liked all the extra entries…so, yeah, thanks! π
legacy1992(at)gmail(dot)com
Katie McCurdy
I haven't read any of your books yet because I first heard of you a few months ago and added your books to my wishlist, but Christmas hasn't rolled around yet, so…. π
My favorite literary hero is definitely Sherlock Holmes – a man of unmatched mental prowess, culture and refinery, and an astoundingly skilled protector in both martial arts and swordplay. If only he'd find Christ, he would truly be the ultimate catch. π
And my e-mail addy is sapphirefeltner (at) optimum (dot) net
Would love to win for my wife!!
I liked the 3 Facebook pages – I put the other books on my list to read – does that count?
John Baxter is my literary heroes.
I have only just discovered you, so have not had a chance to read your books.
I have always admired the integrity of Col. Brandon from Jane Austen's SENSE AND SENSIBILITY. He is such a true Gentleman. A man of his word and honorable.
marypres(AT)gmail(DOT)com
I actually haven't read any of Julie Lessman's books before, because I have never heard of her until now!
Oh my goodness! I end up falling in love with at least one character in every single book that I read! However, I recently read "Interrupted" by Rachel Coker, and I absolutely loved the main character, Allie. She's one of those character's that I would LOVE to be friends with. π
africaabby (at) gmail (dot) com
I'm kind of partial to Luke right now as I'm currently reading A Hope Undaunted. I've been a fan since meeting you on Seekerville.
gilliach(at)yahoo(dot)com
I would have to give Emma as my favorite heroine from your books. I love that she overcomes her past scars (a theme in my current WIP) in order to build a future.
I did #1, 3 & 5. It's not in my budget to buy any more books this month, unfortunately, although I did visit the pages for #2, 4, 6, 7 & 8.
Hi Julie, I don't have a favorite characterof yours because I haven't read any of your books yet. I just discovered you doing the scavenger hunt, but am looking forward to A Love Surrendered. A character that I really love is Ingeborg Bjorklund from Lauraine Snelling's Red River of the North series. Ingeborg is strong, resourceful and resilient. Her faith in the face of the hardships that face a frontier family is amazing.
I have not read of her books yet, but I like characters that are well-developed and not one-dimensional.
I liked all of the Facebook pages, but I didn't get how to like the Amazon pages. I tried to do them.
I am using this scavenger hunt to find new authors. I will definitely be adding your books to my growing to-read pile.
I like Hunter from Lynette Eason's book "When the Smoke Clears".
I liked all 8 of the bonus entries above.
Picking a favorite hero from your books is hard. I own all of them except A Love Surrendered, and they are my absolute favorite books!! I guess I would have to chose Faith because of her character in total. Her persistence in finding a love that is centered in a relationship with God draws me to her, because I also hope to find the man God has for me. Also, I liked all 8 pages.
I don't think I've read any of your books – yet! Now that I've 'discovered' you, I will be looking you up at the local library on my next trip!
My favorite literary hero is usually in whatever book I am currently reading! I love to read and can't choose just one!
I 'liked' all three of the author pages on facebook – thanks for the opportunity of winning prizes and your role in this scavenger hunt – this is fun!

KIM IN NC … Oh, Hadassah from Mark of the Lion is one of my ALL-TIME faves of a heroine, girl, so we are completely in sync on that one. In fact, I was SO taken with Hadassah and how Francine made her completely beautiful despite her scars that I modeled one of my characters after her, Emma Malloy in book 2 of the Winds of Change series, who was also scarred with a pan of hot grease thrown in her face.. Both Hadassah and Emma are godly women with gentle personalities, and it was a pleasure to write such a character's story. And GOOD JOB on the e-mail address, girl!! π
ANDREA WILLIAMS … A Love Surrendered is actually book 3 in the Winds of Change series, so I am thinking you may have downloaded book 1 in that series, A Hope Undaunted, when it was free, hopefully? Or maybe A Passion Most Pure?? If AHU, then that is my FAVE of the books I've written and was voted by Booklist Magazine (top librarian magazine) as #5 on the top ten Christian Fiction for 2010, right after Francine River's book!! But if it's A Passion Most Pure, then that is GREAT because although you can read AHU first, this is a series best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises and APMP was voted American Christian Fiction Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year, so you can't go wrong with either of them. If you do read one and like it, let me know, okay? And if you don't like it … uh, never mind. π
MERRY … Oh, I am with you, sweetie — LOVE those redeemed bad boys, which, of course, MOST of mine are … π
ANDREA … WOW, girl, you are SO organized — thank you!! And I LOVE Colleen Coble's work too!! If you want to find out for sure if you would like my "passion with a purpose" style of writing, I invite you to hop on over to the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books, okay? GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
SHELLY … NO apology necessary, my friend, and Pride and Prejudice ROCKS!!! And if you want "spunky," check out Katie O'Connor in my favorite love scene in A Hope Undaunted on the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books. Not only is it my favorite love scene I've written, but it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
BARBARA H. — NO apology necessary, my friend!! BUT … if you'd like to check out my style of writing, I invite you to hop on over to the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
PAM K!!!!! Soooo fun to see one of my favorite reader friends, girl, so THANK YOU and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
KAREN K … LOL … you and Pam must be following each other around, girl — two of my FAVORITE reader friends!! I sure hope both of you win something in this hunt. π
MICHELLE … LOL … you are SO cute!! Thank you for LIKING us, girl … we like you too! π
Good luck and hugs,
Julie
dkstevenson1[at]gmail[dot]com
It's so hard to pick a favorite!! Mitch or maybe Luke or Steven! How do you pick just one?
<3 the O'Connors.
I haven't read any of your books because I had not heard of your books until this hunt.
Thanks for participating in the hunt. It's been great fun discovering new writers.
MICHELLE … no, I don't think it did, girl, so THANK YOU for coming back!! Faith is a favorite of everyone, it seems, which is good because she is the epitome of "faith," for sure!!
LAURA AKA LOVES 2 READ ROMANCE … Oh, Laura, if you "love 2 read romance," have I got a series for you!! π My Daughters of Boston and Winds of Change series, both about the VERY passionate O'Connor family, are ROMANCE personified, I guarantee it!! And if you don't believe me, check out my "passion with a purpose" style of writing at the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books, okay? GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
DARCY O … Mysteries, huh?? Does it count if I throw a big monkey-wrench shock of a surprise at the end of each book?? π Here's to a win, girl, so you can find out for yourself.
MELODI … I LOVE Lori Wick, girl, and I SO appreciate your interest in my books as well. If you'd like to check out my style of writing, I invite you to hop on over to the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS. Oh, and YES, I got all your LIKES recorded. π
ANGI GRIFFIS!!!! Soooooo good to see you here, my sweet friend!! A huge event like this brings out SO many new readers who haven't heard of all of us authors in this hunt, so it's nice to see a friendly face!! Thanks for coming by and here's to a win!!
VICKIE … it is a "fun" contest, isn't it?? Hope you win, which would make it even MORE fun!!
SANDY … Oh, good for you, girl — Patrick often gets overlooked because he's older, but that should all change when A Light in the Window comes out — Patrick gives all the young'uns a run for their money since in that Christmas prequel, HE is young too!! And it is hard to find men like that today, but God has way of changing even the most difficult into great hubbies, and it sounds like yours is on his way, girl!!!
CINDY REGNIER … Oh, YAY, glad you already have some of my books cued up, girl, and I sure hope one of them is A Passion Most Pure or A Hope Undaunted, both offered free on Kindle a while back. If so, PLEASE read APMP first, okay? This is a series best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises, but if you only have AHU, no worries. It actually was voted by Booklist Magazine as #5 on the Top Ten Best Fiction for 2010 and APMP was voted American Christian Fiction Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year, so you can't go wrong with either. GOOD LUCK!!
RENEE … YAY!!! A vote for Patrick, who actually has gotten a ton of votes in this poll, so I am thrilled since he IS the head of the family, after all! God all your points tallied, so GOOD LUCK, sweetie!!
ABI … WOW, there have been SO many votes for Patrick in this poll (like Renee above and others), that I think ALITW just may put him in the lead … π
MARTHAE!!! Girl, if you ARE able to get one of my books selected for your church book club, I have deal for you!! First of all, if you do, it should be book 1 in the Daughters of Boston series since this is a family saga best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises, okay? Secondly, if you do get your club to read APMP, not only will I send YOU the next book in the series free, but I would be THRILLED to join the discussion at your club via Skype or conference call if you like, okay? All you have to do is let me know via the "Contact Julie" tab of my website, and the deal is on!! Thanks for your interest, my friend!
TO THE PERSON WHO DID NOT LEAVE THEIR NAME, BUT PUT MY NAME IN INSTEAD: PLEASE come back and leave your name and e-mail address in a spam-free manner, okay? Thanks, sweetie.
KIMBERLY, YES!!! You WILL have to request one through the library, and I strongly suggest it be A PASSION MOST PURE, which was voted American Christian Fiction Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year. This is a series best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises, so that's the book to start with, okay? GOOD LUCK!!
CORTNEY … oh, honey, I SO relate about the "busy" part, truly!! When you are as busy as we are all today, you have to be very selective in your reading. That said, I suggest you check out my style of "passion with a purpose" writing to see if you like it, and you can do that by visiting the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books. GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
SAPPHIRE … Sherlock Holmes IS a great character who would be ALL the better if he were a godly man as well. Most of my heroes start out the same way, but find God in a BIG way, so I relate to your comment. check out my style of writing, I actually have a Christmas e-book coming out that my husband designed the cover for with my daughter as the model, and it's GORGEOUS!! It's called A Light in the Window by Julie Lessman, so I encourage you to check it out. Then if you want to hop on over to the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books, which will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
KEVIN!!! Aren't you just the SWEETEST HUBBY ever!!! You should win for that reason alone, mister, so GOOD LUCK!!
GEAN … LOL … sure, why not?? π Good luck, sweetie!!

GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
CARA G … Oh, girl, me too!!! Luke and Mitch are my favorite heroes I've written and I'll just bet you Luke will win out by the time you are done with AHU!! If you like it, let me know, okay? If not … uh, never mind! π
DIANE … oh, Emma, YES!!! I actually modeled her (or tried to!) after Francine Rivers fabulous heroine, Hadassah, from Mark of the Lion series. If you have not read that, Diane, I strongly recommend it!! And GOOD LUCK with your WIP and the contest!!
KATHLEEN … I have not had the pleasure of reading Lauraine's books yet, but it sounds like I need to!! As far as my books, though, just a word of warning if you do decide to read one of mine. My featured book on this hunt is my newest release, A Love Surrendered, which is actually the sixth book in a family saga, so if you decide to read me, P
LEASE start with book 1, A Passion Most Pure, because this is one saga best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises in book 1, okay? It won American Christian Fiction Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year and GOOD NEWS … it's only $5.79 on Kindle!! And to see if you would even like my "passion with a purpose" style, I encourage you to check out the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
Hugs,
Julie
I love every one of your books! I have them all and have reread them all! I can't even decide which character I like the best…I feel like they are all family…it's like trying to choose a favorite sibling or child! LOL! And BTW, I loved the deleted "scene"…I was wondering why there wasn't as much of Charity and Lizzy in the final book. So I'm so glad you shared that excerpt!
Also, I liked everything on the list!
GRETCHEN … oh, girl, if you like "characters that are well-developed and not one-dimensional," then I STRONGLY recommend you checking out the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books, okay? That way you can see if my "passion with a purpose" style of writing (and some of the strongest and most complicated and dramatic characters you will find in Christian romance) suits you. GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS

GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS. Oh, and YES, I got all your LIKES recorded. π
BRITTNEY D!!! Thank you SO much for reading all of my books, girl, and I hope you like ALS as much as I do. It's got 78 5-star reviews on Amazon already, so hopefully you will like it too!! And Faith is hands-down the winner with my reader friends as to their fave of my characters, so you're right in sync, my friend. GOOD LUCK in the contest!
ALLISON JONES … thank you, sweetie, for adding me to your TBR list — MUCH appreciated!! And to make sure you like my "passion with a purpose" style of writing before you do that, I suggest you check out the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books. GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS.
NANC … YAY!!! Thank you for picking up some of my books, and I hope one of them is A Passion Most Pure — the American Christian Fiction Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year. You see, this is a family saga best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises in book 1 (APMP). But if it's not APMP, no worries because you can read them out of order too. I deal mostly with purity for young girls in today's amoral society, so hopefully this will be something you and your daughter can talk about after reading my books.
DANA … LOL!! I don't know, sweetie, but we as women are ALL so different, so I guess we just pick the hero that appeals to our personality most. For me it's Luke and Mitch — I just like those take-charge types, you know, and it sounds like you do too! π GOOD LUCK, my friend!
SHARMA DARBY … makes perfect sense, girl, which is why these hunts are SUCH a good idea, right? Hugs,
Julie
I thought I posted, but am not seeing the comment, so sorry if it's a repeat!!
I haven't read your books – you are a new author to me! Now I have more books to add to my To Read List! Thanks!
I have not read any of your books yet, but I would love to read them and have been wanting to read them.
I am sorry to say I have not had the pleasure of reading your books as yet. Thanks to this Hunt and finding you, I can't wait to read them all now!! Thanks so much for this wonderful chance. Also, my all time favorite is Mr. Darcy.
Morgan is because he is interesting.
I liked all of them.

I have never read your books before as I am just trying new books. For the longest time I only read Max Lucado and comedy writers such as Liz Curtis Higgs because of all the stuff I was going through at home being full time caregiver to my ailing parents, whom have now both been promoted to glory. Was hard losing mom Dec. 2010 and for the longest time I wasn't even able to read. In the last 6 months I have begun and have decided to venture outside my comfort zone but hope to try one of your books very soon.
I did go and like ALL the pages listed.
Thanks for this wonderful give away.
I have never read any Julie Lessman novels before because this is the first time I'm becoming acquainted with her work. Now that I know about her, though, I can't wait to dig in!
One of my favorite Christian fiction heroes is Hadassah from Francine Rivers' novel A Voice in the Wind. She embodies the kind of Christian I want to be.
Love the deleted scenes!!! Now wondering about Brady and Lizzie's…. More please!
Favorite- Emma, she treated others as she wished to be treated.
I liked on facebook, twitter and amazon, on each of the following. One of these days they will come up with a Love Button.

I haven't read any of your books yet, but I've heard great things and plan to soon. I love Mr. Darcy for his willingness to finally change and that he's really a great guy. I liked all 8 of the links.
shopgirl152nykiki(at)yahoo(dot)com
I did everything on the list. As for Heroine, I have read the Daughter's of Boston series and liked each of the women and what and how they dealt with things
robynconners4(@)periodgmailperiodcom
I have already or was able to "like" all pages.
I have not read your books yet because I am new to christian fiction. When I "googled" christian fiction it was an overwhelming number of choices so I asked another author for advice at a conference and was led to this scavenger hunt (yay)…so prize or no prize I feel like a winner. I have a plentyful and growing list of authors and books now. All your books look interesting but A Light in the Window stood out to me the most (romantically intriguing). I also like your Q&A sentiments.
As for a literary hero….I have ready so many books Im having a hard time choosing, but I can say within christian fiction I was most inspired by the examples of strong faith reflected by Francine River's characters Hadassah (Mark of the Lion) and Caleb & Silas (Sons of Encouragment)
forgot to leave my email address: tjw1996(at)hotmail(dot)com
I do not have a favorite Julie Lessman hero …yet! I only recently discovered your books through blogs I have visited. I have Hope Undaunted downloaded to be read on our Kindle. π
3pts: I liked Kristen's, Tracy Higley's and Julie's Facebook pages. Thanks for the generous giveaway!
I haven't read any of your books, but you have piqued my interest to do so. My favorite characters are those in "Here Burns My Candle" & "Mine Is the Night" – by Liz Curtis Higgs. Thanks for the opportunity to win one of your books!
Hi, Julie. I don't believe I've read any of your books, but I am definitely going to be looking for them because of this scavenger hunt π Happy writing!
I'm back, still getting used to this scavenger hunt thing…it's harder than it seems :-). But a lot of fun. In your list I did 4, and I previously noted that I haven't read any of your books that I can remember, but I will enjoy looking them up now. My favorite character? Hmmm…that is a hard question…I enjoyed Sam Miller in Robert Whitlow's "Mountain Top"–he was definitely unique…guess I can't choose just one. Just read "Wrapped in Rain" by Charles Martin…really enjoyed it, and my favorite character had passed away before the story began…could still hear her voice though…just a teaser :-).
I haven't read any of your books because I rarely have time. Now I know your books and website and can start ! My literary hero is Leah in Liz Curtis Higgs' novels.
GRETCHEN — Hey, girl, if you like characters that are "not one-dimensional," then have I got a series for you!! An Irish family saga, to be exact, that takes place in pre-WW! Boston, where the characters are SO complicated and SO passionate, I PROMISE you that they are the farthest thing from "one-dimensional"!! And to prove it, I encourage you to check out the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books, okay? This will give you a GOOD idea if you are going to like my brand of "passionate" Christian romace or not. GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
SARAH … thank you for considering adding my books to your TBR, BUT … if you'd like to make sure you'll like my style of writing before you do that, I invite you to hop on over to the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS
BRITTNEY D. … thank you SO much for reading my books, Brit, and I hope you like A Love Surrendered, but you may want to have a Kleenex on hand. I cried proofing this book more than I did any of my others (40 Kleenex!!), I guess because it's the last O'Connor family book, but also because of several tender spiritual scenes that I hope will tug at your heart too. Thanks for the LIKES, my friend, and GOOD LUCK!!
ALLISON JONES … YAY, I hope you do, girl, and if so, PLEASE start with book 1 in this passionate family saga, A Passion Most Pure, because this is one saga best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises in book 1, okay? It won American Christian Fiction Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year and it kicks off this 6-book saga (The Daughters of Boston and Winds of Change series) that follows the VERY passionate O'Connor family. HAPPY READING!!
NANC … WHOO-HOO, girl, THANK YOU!! And I sure hope one of them is A Passion Most Pure or A Hope Undaunted, both offered free on Kindle a while back. And I've received letters from mother/daughter readers who claim my books make GREAT discussions between them, so I hope that happens with you and your daughter. π GOOD LUCK!!
DANA … LOL … I don't know!! But you're on the right track with Mitch, Luke and Steven, I'll tell you that!! We must like the same type of heroes, girl, so I hope you enjoy ALS because Steven is really something and so is Luke in that book! π
SHARMA DARBY … NO worries, my friend!! BUT … if you'd like to check out my style of writing, I invite you to hop on over to the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? CATHY ROUECHE … Oh, Cath, thank you SO VERY MUCH for reading my books, girl — MUCH appreciated!! Yeah, that was why there wasn't much on Charity and Mitch, which killed me, especially their part I had to pull out of the epilogue, but that's the publishing biz!! I sure hope you win something, my friend, so GOOD LUCK!!
CANDICE … don't worry, sweetie, I did the same thing … thought I answered a whole string of comments and now can't find it!! Of course, this silly comment format here does NOT make it easy. I wish it was more like WordPress, where you can post a reply right under each comment. π Anyway, I'm telling those who have never read me before to hop on over to the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? But before you invest time or money in borrowing or buying them, I encourage you to check out the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books, okay? This will give you a GOOD idea if you are going to like my brand of "passionate" Christian romace or not. SHAN … I am so very sorry to hear of your loss, my friend, and everyone I know who has gone through something like that simply cannot focus enough to read for the grief, so I am glad you are getting back into reading. Hugs,
Julie
Finding so many new (to me)artists to read! Love it!
After reading the last deleted scene, I'd definitely like to read the whole story. All these books looks like good reads.
My favorite character is Collin McGuire in A Passion Most Pure because an Irish rogue is irresistable.
Please enter me in the drawing. Thank you

Hi Julie –
I already posted a comment about Katie being my favorite character because she is so feisty ( reminds me of my own daughter!), and then I realized I didn't tell you how many pages I "liked" which were four.
And THEN I saw that I had screwed up my e-mail address!
Here it is in non-spam format: warolyn(at)yahoo(dot)com. Sure hope I did it right this time. I suppose that's what happens when I am trying to do the scavenger hunt and listen to my 9 year old at the same time!
Thanks so much for sharing your gift of writing with all of us!
Carolyn
I participated in the hunt last spring and was introduced to so many new authors. Reading good books is one of the reasons I look forward to the long Wisconsin winters. This time, I've created a word file to help me remember each author to keep me company this winter.
I haven't read your books but they do look really interesting my favorite literarry hero would have to be Goerge Washington for sure. I know he is a common favorite but i love his caracter in so many ways, he was a strong leader, and he was a christian and was always giving credit to got. He was also very respectful of his elders and those in authority over him. I cant wait to read your books!!!!
LEAH … Oh, Hadassah from Mark of the Lion is one of my ALL-TIME faves of a heroine, girl, so we are completely in sync on that one. BUT … since you have never read my books before, I encourage you to hop on over to the "EXCERPTS" link of my website, where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? GOOD LUCK and here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS. Then, if you decide you like my style, PLEASE start with book 1 in The Daughters of Boston series, A Passion Most Pure (which won American Christian Fictions Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year) as this is a series best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises in book 1. Thanks, sweetie, and HAPPY READING!!
MARIE Q … So glad you enjoyed the deleted scene, and believe it or not, my agent wanted me to write an e-book with Brady and Lizzie's deleted subplot, so I can't divulge anymore at this time since she may want me to do that e-book. π GOOD LUCK in the contest, my friend!!
GLENDA ALEXANDER … LOL … oh, wouldn't THAT be nice??? π Thanks SO much, my friend, for all the LIKES, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!! And Emma comes in 2nd to Faith in my poll so far, because you are right — she was so kind to others and giving of herself. I love her a lot as a character too. SUCH a great balance for Charity,eh?

ROBYN CONNORS … Thanks SO much, girl, for reading the DOB series — MUCH appreciated!! If you haven't read book 1 in the next series, the Winds of Change, you may want to check it out. It is my FAVE of all the books I've written because Katie O'Connor is SUCH a pistol and she butts heads with the infamous Cluny McGee, who is hands-down my FAVORITE hero along with Mitch. If you don't believe me, I suggest you check out my favorite love scene from that book, which you can find on my "Excerpts" tab of my website. Just go to the following link and scroll down — SO fun!!! GOOD LUCK, my friend!! Here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS.
TYLEIA H. … Girl, may I just say how very impressed I am by your pursuit of godly fiction?? And then your thoroughness in checking out my website — WOW!! You, my friend, are one smart lady!! And OH MY, like I told Leah above, Hadassah from Mark of the Lion is one of my ALL-TIME faves of a heroine, girl, so we are completely in sync on that one. I hope while you were perusing my website that you had a chance to check out the "EXCERPTS" tab where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? I am SO glad you took advantage of the free download and I hope you were able to do so with A Passion Most Pure when it was offered a while back as well. If so, PLEASE read APMP first, okay? This is a series best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises, but if you only have AHU, no worries. It actually was voted by Booklist Magazine as #5 on the Top Ten Best Fiction for 2010 and APMP was voted American Christian Fiction Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year, so you can't go wrong. Either way, PLEASE let know if you like it, okay? And if not … well, never mind. π Meanwhile, GOOD LUCK in the contest, sweetie!!
BONNIE … Oh, YES!!! I love, love, LOVE Liz Curtis Higgs and actually had the privilege and pleasure of endorsing Mine is the Night, so I KNOW just how wonderful those characters are!! RUTH ANN DELL!!! LOL, girl, I sooooo agree — there's nothing better than an Irish rogue, and girl, that means you are going to absolutely LOVE A Light in the Window — Marcy and Patrick's prequel love story!! HUGS to all,
Julie
I havenβt read your books yet because I am an Amish fiction reader but am finally expanding my wings into other areas. My favorite literary hero from college is Odysseus from The Odyssey. "He fought bravely in battle, used his wits to his advantage, and returned to his home to drive out the invaders" as an old HS teacher once stated. lcenlow@sit-co.net
My favorite hero is probably Brady or Sean. π
Oh, and I've liked everything you listed except for #7. π

I 'like' A Light in the Window on Amazon
I 'like' A Love Surrendered on Amazon
and
I 'like' you on facebook!
I have just discovered you, Julie. I would love to read A Light In The Window, "One Woman. Two Men. One stirs her pulse and the other her faith. But who will win her heart?" What's NOT to be intrigued by that? Favorite heroes: I am drawn to Maximum Ride in James Patterson's series, in Christian fiction I LOVE Caleb in Ted Dekker's A MAN CALLED BLESSED. Thanks for all the giveaways!
Also liked all of the above
I love Faith and her strong faith in the Lord.

Thanks for the LIKES, my friend, and GOOD LUCK!!

CATHY ROUECHE … Oh, Cath, thank you SO VERY MUCH for reading my books, girl — MUCH appreciated!! I sure hope you win something, my friend, so GOOD LUCK!!
CANDICE … don't worry, sweetie, I did the same thing … thought I answered a whole string of comments and now can't find it!! Of course, this silly comment format here does NOT make it easy. Hi Julie! I am currently reading Steven's story and was just reminded again how much I like Collin. And I love Faith and her faith. But really I like them all. The O'Connors are a family I would very much love to be a part of. Neat, neat family. And Patrick and Marcy, I'm looking forward to reading their story soon. It will be tough to say good-bye to them. π
I didn't go out and "like" anything as I am supposed to be doing homework right now – lots of reading for Art History. It's interesting, but not quite like this neat scavenger hunt reading. Thanks for the opportunity to win anyway.

I'm sorry to say I have not read any of Julie's books since this is the first time I have heard of her! π
My favorite character is Hadassah from Francine River's series, The Mark of the Lion.

LEAH … Oh, Hadassah from Mark of the Lion is one of my ALL-TIME faves of a heroine, girl, so we are completely in sync on that one.
I hope while you were perusing my website that you had a chance to check out the "EXCERPTS" tab where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? Here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS.
JES!!! Oh, girl, A Hope Undaunted is my FAVORITE book I've written!!!
And I don't know if the deleted scene posted on Tracy Higley's blog (your prior stop on this hunt) piqued your interest, but if you didn't get a chance to read it, I strongly recommend you check out the "EXCERPTS" tab where I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books — it will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? Here's the link: JULIE'S EXCERPTS. JOANNA … thank you SO much, sweetie, but if I may, I'd like to make a suggestion before you invest time or money into borrowing or buying my books. Please check out the "EXCERPTS" tab of my website first because I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books, and that will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing to

VALERIE ROSEN … oh, YES, YES, YES!!! I absolutely LOVED Leah in Liz's Scottish trilogy — one of my all-time favorite series and authors!!! And I certainly relate about the lack of time, my friend, so if I may, I'd like to make the same suggestion to you that I made to several commenters above. Please check out the "EXCERPTS" tab of my website first because I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books, and that will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing to help you decide if you would even like my style, okay? Thanks again, Maria and HAPPY READING!! JULIE'S EXCERPTS.
RUTH ANN DELL!!! LOL, girl, I sooooo agree — there's nothing better than an Irish rogue, and girl, that means you are going to absolutely LOVE A Light in the Window — Marcy and Patrick's prequel love story!! Patrick is hands-down the BEST Irish rogue of the lot so far (okay, okay … maybe tied with Luke and Mitch!!), so I hope you get a chance to read it. I am giving away 5 copies on FB in November, so be sure to check it out, okay, and GOOD LUCK in the contest!!
CAROLYN GOULD … LOL, girl, you sound like me!! π Thank you SO much for reading my books, and I agree, Katie is a pistol!! She and Charity are my faves because they are SUCH hoots, both of them, ESPECIALLY Charity in A Heart Revealed — makes me laugh in almost every scene she's in, even the sad ones!! π Anyway, I'm glad you came back and you are IN the contest, girl, so GOOD LUCK and hugs to you and your daughter!!
LAURA!! WOW, girl, you sure are organized!! I guess you have to be when you read as much as you do, eh? After all, those Wisconsin winters are longer than most … π To help you in your decision as to whether or not you should even add me to your list, I strongly suggest you check out the "EXCERPTS" tab of my website first because I have posted my favorite romantic and spiritual scenes for each of my books there, and that will give you a good idea of my type of "passion with a purpose" type of writing, okay? I like Luke. I love the relationship he has with Katie (:
"Liked" all on your list (:
I haven't yet read any of your books as I only just discovered your site because of this scavenger hunt, but I do look forward to reading them! I have so many favourite book and characters, and it's hard to choose one, but I'll say Sam Gamgee from Lord of the Rings. I love his humility and his loyalty and his eagerness to do what's right in spite of the danger to him.
NOTE!!!!

SUE-BY … No, I have never read Elizabeth Goudge, but I will have to give her a try — thank you!! And THANK YOU for placing one of my books on hold at the library. I hope it's A Passion Most Pure, because this is one saga best read in order due to a number of HUGE surprises in book 1. It won American Christian Fiction Writers 2009 Debut Book of the Year and it kicks off this 6-book saga (The Daughters of Boston and Winds of Change series) that follows the VERY passionate O'Connor family. Let me know if you like it and HAPPY READING!!

Excited to learn of you and to read your books. Now that winter is coming, i will have more time to read. This is great way to be introduced to new authors! I liked the FB pages and looked at all the others. Will definitely check out your books. Thanks,
I'm so glad I''ve been introduced to your writing through this hunt. I'll look forward to reading some of your books this winter.
I know he's not a Christian fiction hero, but I still think Mr. Rochester is my favorite (flawed) hero. I keep going back to Jane Eyre time and time again. π
+1 I love them all! My favorite has to be Sean though … he's more like who I would look for in real life. Luke and Colin types are a bit more intimidating to me in an "out of my league" sort of way (though I love reading about them). π
+1 Liked KRISTEN'S FACEBOOK PAGE
